I have a child who graduated from the Epstein School recently and all I can say is that he was fabulously prepared for High School. He is excelling in an all honors curriculum, but more importantly, the Epstein School prepared him to be a responsible, curious student who is confident in who he is and unafraid to mix and mingle with all sorts of people. The bilingual curriculum (which was trilingual by the time he graduated) has allowed him to jump right into 2nd year Spanish and he's finding it easy as pie. I am seeing the results of an Epstein education and am looking forward to my other children benefiting in similar ways.

The Epstein School is one of the finest Jewish Day Schools in the country. Epstein s unique academic bilingual program, combined with integration of advanced technology and the arts gives Epstein students a competitive edge and is one of the key reasons Epstein graduates go on to be so successful in the very best high schools and colleges of their choosing. Young children who learn a second language develop stronger communication skills, and in a global economy that provides them with better economic and employment opportunities. Because the school is supported by an atmosphere that values a caring community and service to others, Epstein students thrive and develop their academic skills to their maximum potential. In 2010 Epstein alumni included: 1 Valedictorian, 4 Salutatorians, 6 National Merit Finalists, 3 Governor's Honors participants, President of Riverwood, both Co-Presidents of The Weber School and 62% of The Epstein School class of 2006 were members of the NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY and/or received NATIONAL MERIT RECOGNITION.

I am the father of a middle school girl and elementary school boy at Epstein. They have been there over the past six years. I have been very happy with the school. My wife and I read some studies indicating that a bilingual education developed children's brains so that they have the ability to learn more languages in the future. I believe this is true. My daughter is learning third and fourth languages now (Russian from a classmate and Spanish from an Spanish I course in 8th grade). The half day of Hebrew does not take away at all from the other subjects. Some parents feel the Shachar program to help kids who require more individual care doesn't do enough. My wife and I have been happy with the warm environment, strong Judaics education and the teachers challenging our children with extra projects. My kids like the school too!
