I disagree I witnessed first hand of how this school operates. It is unprofessional, and I would not dare send my daughter or anybody I know consider that school. I witnessed their lunch one day they had Pizza and pork and beans. I mean that does not even match and it was horrible. It was super hot in the classooms. They had the children in a room and everybody was burning up. Thats when I made my decision I would never ever consider letting my child attend this school. Some people dont investigate schools they see a one time thing and are satisfied well not me. I kept going and it was dispicable.

Mt Nebo is an outstanding school. The instructional program promotes the fundamentals for reading, math and learning as well as rigorous requirmemts for learning. Students excell and master learning with great success!

I have a student at Mt. Nebo who began with the pre-k program and has moved on to the Academy Kindergarten program. The principal is a veteran educator who consistently seeks learning opportunities for the children to participate in. The staff is receptive and helpful. The ABEKA curriculum has been quite successful for my child who has blossomed and excelled at a very high rate during this past school year. It is important to me that my children be exposed to Biblical principles while learning the rudiments of reading, writing and arithmetic. Mt. Nebo accomplishes this quite successfully. It is my hope that the program will expand and that other parents will have the opportunity to enroll their children. I would love to see more community businesses and private organizations embrace the school and offer monetary and physical support so that our children will have the advantages needed to succeed.

Mt. Nebo Christian Academy is an excellent school. It is a christian based private school that uses the Abeka curriculum. The students are taught discipline and skills that are needed for everyday life.

Mt. Nebo Christian Academy is one I consider of high distinction as they strive to provide the appropriate nurture and foundation needed for our children. As an expert educator and master teacher in Georgia, I know that Mt. Nebo Christian Academy ensures that each child is treated fairly, with care, and ready for school!!! I truly love the friendlyness of the staff, the support of the principal, and continuous support of the church. I have taught many students who were products of Mt. Nebo Christain Academy. Everyone that I have encountered have exceeded state standards, think intelligently, and present themselves with the highest moral values. Each day the students are engaged in learning that requires critical thinking, which is unusual in early childhood education. Teachers are professional and approachable. The entire staff welcomes any child and parents with open arms. MNCA is a true description of a 'village raising a child!!!!!'

My child was previously enrolled in another Christian Academy where he did not learn anything. So I switched him over to Mt. Nebo at the beginning of the schools year. Within a month I notice a difference. He was excited about learning. He was learning about God, shapes, numbers, colors and much more. He has progressed so well that I am hoping the school continues to grow so that I will not have to look for another school with such high standards and great outcomes.

My daughter attends Mount Nebo Christian Academy's Pre-K program. My experience with the school has been nothing but postive. Everything from the quality of staff, the environment and the structured learning techniques caused me to be comfortable. Knowing that my child has exceeded the needed skill knowledge to prepare her for kidnergarten is priceless.

My child attends Pre-K at Mt. Nebo this year. I have been very pleased with the education my child has received. They send home progress reports twice yearly, have parent teacher conferences, and keep portfolios of my child's work. The school follows Pre-K guideline and the content standards provided by the State of Georgia. I feel that my child will be well prepared to attend Kindergarten in the fall.

My child attends Mt. Nebo. At first I was very very excited about the program (preK). The orientation was very encouraging. After about 4 months into the school year. I was highly disappointed. The teachers are forever changing. The principal was either terminated or just left. I am not sure who the principal is now. I have been reviewing the homework and I don't think there is a lot of learning going on. My child tells me that the teachers are always yelling and they spend most of the time with their heads on the table. The children repeat what the teachers say, and if they teachers aren't speaking correct English, what is that saying for my child? I pray they get it right. I personally don't think the #1 focus is the children.

This school has been a big disappointment to me also. I had heard such great things about Mt. Nebo from other parents. Since the first day of school it has been problematic. The teachers do not send notes homes for the parents. They expect the children to relay all messages. I have often had to call or stop in to ask questions that could have been answered if they would just send notes home. Their seems to be a high turnover rate in teachers and principals.

The school has been a big disappointment. I would never recommend it to anyone. The turn around for teachers is terrible. The curriculum is not one of very high standards. Parent involvement is discouraged. Parents are not allowed to visit their children during the course of the day. Codes are used when the state visits to make sure every one is following their guidelines while they are in the building. The school is not able to give you statistics on the passing scores from the itbs testing.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
