I am a neighborhood resident and have had three children at Kimberly, I have volunteered in each of my children's classes and have worked as a reading tutor for the entire school. I think that Kimberly is a good school with wonderful teachers-Ms. Rivers 1st Grade, Ms. Saunders-3rd Grade, and Ms. Irving of course Ms. Hall, the principal. I think this school is what you make it. I think it is a diamond. There are challenges but with additional parent participation, it can get better.

I have two children at Kimberly. The school has some excellent teachers, but could improve on programs and activities. Mrs. Irvin and Mrs. Rivers are excellent and caring teacher.

I have three children that have and attend LO Kimberly and I am overall satisfied with the instructors and administrators at this school. I have had the privilege to work with outstanding instructors at the Pre-School, Kindergarden, 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. I do believe that this school does need more assistant from parents to make this program work. This school is also losing their high calibre instructors. This school's best instructors are Mrs. Rivers and Ms. Irving. Submitted by a parent

I have not been pleased with L.O.Kimberly Elementary academic programs or the principal. I've tried to volunteer in my daughter's classroom but was told I could not because it would be disruptive. I do not like the fact that I cannot observe my child and her teacher when there is a problem.

My oldest daughter has been attending Kimberly since the 2004-05 school year, and I must say that I am very pleased with the caliber of instructors at the school. For kindergarten, she had Ms. K. Natson (now teaching 3rd grade)who was a wonderful teacher that taught more than primary colors and shapes! The children acquired a broader vocabulary, learned to form sentences and count money. The students also composed mini-book reports and learned about cultures around the world. In 1st grade, Ms. K. Loyd helped me enhance her already good reading, writing and math skills! And, she made all A's the entire school year! This year, she has Ms. K. Knowles, who earns her right to be called a wonderful teacher! On the first day, she gave all parents her home & cell #, and both school and personal email addresses. She also gives weekly updates on the children's progress.
