The school is small, inclusive and has a strong sense of community. Students and faculty both have a low tolerance for bullying and accept students as they are.

Historically, our daughter has struggled with math and never enjoyed the subject. Her teacher at The New School has really helped her confidence and now she is making a lot of positive progress.

Effective school leaders: Strongly agree

The leadership is highly engaged in the school and is always accessible. They know the names of every student and encourage parent involvement. The communication with parents is excellent.

Develops character: Strongly agree

Because the school is small, students learn to respect each other's differences. The faculty are great role models and encourage the students to work through issues and respect one-another.

About this school

TNS students do work that matters. Original work. This isn’t high school as you’ve imagined it. Yes, TNS students master an exacting college prep curriculum. But they’re also out in the world, learning alongside entrepreneurs, artists, politicians, biochemists, and dozens of other passionate professionals doing important work–because the city is the most exciting classroom. Every student learns to code, all students go through a year-long entrepreneurship program, all students take internships.
