Which magnet program is better: Wheeler HS or Kennesaw Mountain HS?

My daughter is in 8th grade and applied to the Magnet program in both schools. Wheeler is in Marietta, GA, and Kennesaw Mtn is in Kennesaw, GA. Which has the better Magnet, and which might be the best overall HS experience? My daughter also plays tenor sax and does track & field.

Hi. I'm not from GA, but have you tried using the "Find a School" feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page? You can enter a location and grade level, and see a list of the schools in that area, and read any parent comments that have been made. Public schools are rated from 1 (low) to 10 (high) based on how their students performed on recent statewide testing. At the high school level, you might also want to call them and ask about their average ACT/SAT scores. In any case, I'd recommend visiting each before making a final decision, and then you can get a better feel for them, find out about extracurricular activities, etc.

I have 1 child who graduated from KMHS and 1 who is in 9th grade there right now. I love the school. The band is one of the best in the nation. They have already made it to NY once before for the Macys Day Parade. From what I hear the Track and Field do very well. I really have no complaints other than softball is all about who pays the most money gets to play the most. 65478
