Usually this requires getting permission from the principal of the school that you'd like your child to attend. If permission is given, you will most likely have to provide all transportation for your child -- no bus service will be provided.

Bottom Line: Start by going to or calling the school that you'd like your child to attend... and ask/verify the procedure.

Hope this helps.

Go to countyschool website and try to apply for hardship transfer if your child is 12yr or younger. Deadline May 1.
Also if your child is in failing school for 2yrs. you will receive a letter this summer and you can transfer your child by going to the home school and getting the principal to sign and take it to designed school. May have to provide transportation and school will be a long distance from your home
