ICCS is making great strides in the areas of academic excellence and Christian service to the local Augusta community. ICCS stresses the traditions and teachings of the Catholic Church in all that it does. As a parent, my children are growing in their faith and understanding of Jesus and the Catholic Church. Academically, my children are excelling in all areas at a much faster rate than what would be expected in any of the local school systems. I am proud to be a parent at Immaculate Conception Catholic School.

I have 3 children at ICCS for the first time this year. We love it! The teachers and principal are very engaged and easy to work with. Small class sizes are great and the Catholic education is wonderful. I couldn't be happier. My kids came from public school and it has been an easy adjustment for them.

This is our first year at Immaculate Conception. I couldn't be happier with the switch. My son is finally getting the high quality of education that he deserves. He is now being challenged to think and problem solve at a much higher level than he ever was in other private schools in the local area. IC is also the most affordable private school in the Augusta area. I am extremely blessed to have found this wonderful school.

When I came to work at Immaculate Conception, I had no idea what a great working environment it would be. All of the faculty and staff are friendly and easy to get along with. The atmosphere is so much better than any of the public schools I have worked in during my 20+ year career. All of the faculty are required to hold GA teacher certification in their area as well as undergo a crimminal background check. I'm quite sure that not all private schools have these high standards.

When I visited the school in 2009 I was impressed because the children had excellent manners. The 7th & 8th grades teachers I met were courteous, knowledgeable and showed genuine concern for the students.

Immaculate Conception Catholic school is thriving in its new location. New enrollment continues. Students welcome new friends and parents are excited about the years to come. Academics are solid and extracurricular activities are on the increase. I encourage others to visit. I am glad that I did.

I recently became aquainted with Immaculate Conception. ( The location has changed and the school is now located at 811 Telfair Street in Augusta, GA) I find the staff to be very positive and professional. Students are learning and engaged in meaningful activities. Many visitors have been to the school recently for enrichment. Also, students take advantage of the school location and take field trips to local theatre and museums. Soon the new library will open and Immaculate Conception will benefit from the wealth of resources.

Essentially, this is a 'new' school in a 'new' location under 'new' leadership. I actually expect great things to come from this school in the near future. I put quotation marks around the new school because this school has a history in Augusta. The principal is an excellent leader (and proven) in the public school sector. The new location offers better amenities closer to the church which will yield greater spiritual presence. God will bless this wonderful undertaking. Stay tuned.

Community ratings and reviews do not represent the views of GreatSchools nor does GreatSchools check their accuracy or verify the reviewers' identities. Use your discretion when evaluating these reviews.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
