ECHS is great. Although I grew up in ECS my daughter and I moved back 9 months ago. She is doing so much better here than she did in a large county school in NC. She has becomemore outgoing and was readily accepted by her new class. If nothing else the move here was the best thing I could have done for my daughter!
EC schools are awesome! They have the perfect balance of academics and exacurriculars, and there are so many events that go on. They even have special courses for students who are above average, called PROBE or GIFTED, and THAT is especially awesome. GO CATS!
Teachers are very involved, the academics are well balanced and well taught. There are advanced classes available for gifted students, and many sports and extracurricular activities available. I graduated from this high school, and like the previous posters, consider the teachers more as mentors and friends. Definately a safe school, a close-knit, small-town school where everyone knows everyone. That is part of the charm. Children are given every opportunity to excel and succeed. Definately recommended.
My opinion may be biased, but I have attended a small private school and a large public high school, but nothing compares to ECHS. There is such a great spirit and the teachers are excited to teach and see kids learning! I just graduated and I didn't want to leave. The balance of academics and sports along with fine arts, etc. is amazing and something not achieved by many schools. The 4 years I spent there have been the best so far! Go Cats!
I graduated from ECHS last year, and I must admit that my highschool years were great- and I have the teachers to thank. Many of the teachers are willing to help students after hours, willing to give just a little more to make sure they pass. Many teachers that I left behind I now count as my dearest friends and mentors, and I know that I wouldn't have made it through it it were not for them. Aside from that, there are the activities- journalism, yearbook, sports, chorus, Homecoming... and its a fairly small school, so everything is more personal. I encourage any parents to enroll their students at ECHS- it may be in a small town, but I don't think you'll find a better school anywhere else! -Savannah McArdle :)
I love early co . School system . And i would not send my kids any where else. Because this is home to me. The bobcats we are family.
My daugther is a senior this year at Early County High School. Early County has a remarkable program, the only students who don't learn are those who just don't want to. The Sports programs are great. Mr.Davis and Mr. Ferry are wonderful. I would encourage any parent to enroll their child in any of the Early County Schools. My kids have been to them all and they are better for it. Early County Schools, all of them are family, they care about the students.
