As a 3rd generation student of Bowdon, I can say that I really enjoyed my time here. I love the small town "at home" feel of the school and the traditions associated with athletics. At Bowdon we are always pushed to strive for excellence in sports and the classroom. Sports allow kids to make friends, learn life lessons of leadership and teamwork, and give students motivation to come to class and stay out of trouble. I have never felt excluded here and feel as though everyone talks to everyone. We don't have to worry about cliques. The faculty is laid back. We don't have strict rules, but we lack discipline problems. I am prepared for college, and thanks to my excellent teachers I got a very high ACT score and received many scholarships. I enjoyed having many teachers who taught my brother and parents, although it meant I couldn't act out. All in all, I have received a great education and invaluable life skills that will help me succeed in life, just as my parents, brother, and grandparents have succeeded as a result of their experiences at this true small town school. Did I mention that the community is amazingly supportive too? I wouldn't send my children to any other school.

I loved attending Bowdon! The teachers are great and care about the students. People will argue that Bowdon is all about athletics, but that is not true at all! Bowdon cares about winning in every sport, but academics comes first. I cannot wait for my child to go to Bowdon High School

This school is all about athletics. If it isn't about football or baseball, it is put on the back burner. Students who are different are criticized by peers and some teachers (particularly coaches) for their differences. It is not an accepting community, and I would never recommend the high school to anyone.

They are improving and winning awards every year. Great teachers who care about their students.

As a student at BHS, I believe that I might really go far into college for Bowdon being recognized at the national level. With Bowdon being in the list of 1000 best schools in America (academic wise), I feel that I shouldn't trade anything for good education. If some teachers would get their mind off of football though, we could really strive harder.

I have had children to attend this school. They ill prepare the students for higher education. It has improved somewhat recently. However, much improvement is needed.

We recently moved our children to Bowdon High School and we are very impressed with the peacefulness and the structured learning environment. Smaller schools with lower teacher-student ratio play a big role in the environment of the schools. Bowdon also has a deep sense of tradition that you can not find in the larger more crowded and transient schools.
