We out-of-zoned to Glynn Academey as a first time public school student because BHS places to much emphasis on sports as opposed to academics. When talking to past and present students it was always 'yeah, but we have a better football team'. Spirit is high across town with the red & white, win or lose, but getting an education scores the overall winning points!

Hi.My name is L. Hicks. I'm not a parent of a student at Brunswick High, but I am a graduate of the school. BHS is a great school. The best years and experiences of my life happen at that school. Its not a bad place to get an education. Every teacher I had during my time at BHS was there when I needed them for any kind of help or problem. I don't know about the principal now, but when I was in school the principal name was Ed Turner. And even though he didn't know each and every student personally, he most definitely care about his students and also about what his students had too say. I would recommend parents in the area to send there kids to BHS for education. most of my family graduated from there. And we're doing just great.

Brunswick High is a mediocre to poor school. Sadly, all of my children had to go there, and I must say I have never seen a school that has more racial related problems. The teachers are not very motivated and this is reflected in the students attitudes towards learning. Drugs and alchohol are also problems there, and very little is done by the admim staff to correct it. They try to maintain a racial quota, which in itself is ok, but when educational sacrifices are made for the benefit of 'Political Correctness' we all suffer the consequences that show up in the tests of the students that do go on to higher learning. Pass on this school if you can..Your children will thank you in the later years.

Brunswick High is a good school. Students here are academically challenged. Upon graduating from BHS, students are very well prepared to either enter the college scene, the work force, or become a part of our armed services. I would highly recommend Brunswick High to anyone in the Glynn Co. area. Since there are only two public high schools to choose from, I looked at both and Glynn Academy just didn't quite look as good. BHS is located in a much better area I realized my child would be better prepared for her life outside of high school.
