I am a Grandparent undergoing the rearing of Grandchildren. It is an honor and a privilege to have them enrolled at Satilla Marsh Elementary. I have been a parent/guardian of children in the Public School system for more than 30 years in different states. I 've not found more caring kooky staff in any other school. :-) My children are treated with respect and consideration. THANK YOU Satilla Marsh!

Results of teaching to tests remain undocumented. However, the SMES teachers are an enthusiastic, dedicated group and are lead by Kate Matthews, the best principal in the system.

My child likes this school, but I do not feel that it is challenging my child as our previous school did. My child does not do a lot of group work or cooperative learning groups like her old school in Atlanta. The teachers are great and very interested in my child.

My children have been attending this school since the 1st grade. I would not change anything. This school has made a change in my daughters learning skills and I think that the teachers have a one on one feel with the kids. My oldest child is in her last year with the school and my youngest has 2 more years. I would not change them for the world. Keep up the good work Satilla Marsh

This is a great school! The entire school feels and works like a large family. The teachers are very caring and work hard to see that the students excel. The school has a wonderful playground and outdoor classroom area. This is our first year at this school and we are much happier here than we were at another school in the county.

My grandson recently moved into this school zone. I was a little worried about the change since he was moving from private school to public, but, everything has been better than I hoped for. He has a wonderful teacher, lots of friends. This is a very warm, friendly school. I was quite impressed when I visited for Thanksgiving lunch.

We recently transferred our children to this school because we moved in this school district. I was so nervous at first because my son (4th grade) struggles with his studies; however, he brought home better grades on his first report card here than he has all year at his previous school. The staff and teachers are wonderful - you really couldn't ask for a better school.
