Old Suwanee Christian School is the best school our kids have attended. The school has helped prepare our kids to be very conscious of the view of God in all they do. The curriculum is very challenging. The teachers are excellent and among the most committed we have seen in any school. I am an educator and I applaud the balance of Christian standards and academic rigor. Old Suwanee was highly recommended by several people and our experience has been even better than what we heard. We've been to a couple of schools. Old Suwanee excels in honoring racial diversity. Our kids can't wait to go to school each day. They love to go to school and they love their teachers. The commitment of their teachers and school administration has inspired selflessness in them. Our kids are ahead of their peers in public schools and other private schools. Enrolling our kids at Old Suwanee is one of the best decisions we have made as a family and we are grateful to God.

Our child attended Old Suwanee Christian School for nine years. The faculty and staff were partners to assist us in her education. They complemented and supplemented our desire to provide her a Godly education. She graduated in May of 2012. We are very grateful for the whole-child education she received. The faculty did not only teach a solid academic program (she scored 1770 on the SAT), but also addressed the character issues that will help guide her throughout her lifetime. Her spirit and soul were nurtured and challenged to honor the Lord. As she starts college, we are fully persuaded she is very well equipped to accomplish any task ahead of her.

Old Suwanee Christian School remains a strong with excellent teachers, leadership that is balanced and shared with a good school board, dedicated administrators, and always maintained upon Biblical principles. The pastor of the church is the chief administrator and started the school in 1984. The academic program is college prep with very challenging classes and advanced classes. The school is evaluated and accredited through a rigorous process making sure that the overall program is great. The wise parent will go to the school and evaluate it based upon first hand information on campus with real people. The students are real young people from families every walk of life who love the Godly instruction and example of the staff. Students score in the top 10% on national achievement tests administered every year to every student. The Hope of America is found in the classes of Old Suwanee Christian School and other Christian Schools across America. Join them in maintaining Christian Education in the 21st Century.
This used to be a really decent Christian school, but now it seems as if nobody really cares. The students make racist comments and the teachers and principle dont do anything about it, and the teachers are very immature. One teacher talked bad about a student's parent in front of the student and this teacher has had a bad reputation among the students with saying things he/she shouldn't say. I would have recommended this school to everyone about 10-15 years ago when Mr. Moore was over everything not the secondary advisor and teachers. I really hope this school gets it act together because it is losing more and more of its most valuable students each year.
I had the privilege of attending OSCS for 7 years. My husband and I both graduated from there. I love the school! Our children are now students at OSCS - 2nd generation!! Just like any school, it is not perfect, but they do keep Christ the center of every activity. I feel that I have a support system for what I am teaching at home. The negative comments that have been said about OSCS by former parents/students are shameful. Obviously, a rebellious teenager is not going to like the rules, but they are set to teach discipline and commitment - something that public schools and a lot of parents are failing to do! I love OSCS!! Keep up the great work!!

Our desire is to see our students equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to become effective servants of God. Contrary to an earlier review, the teachers at OSCS are very qualified and are certified by GAPSAC. Currently more than half of the secondary teachers have masters degrees and all of them have bachelors degrees and from 3 to 15 years of experience. The administration also places a high priority on teachers receiving continuing education every year. As a faculty, we are continually striving to improve our program. For example, this year AP History was offered. The secondary offers a wide variety of sports, fine arts, and other activities - choir, band, speech, cross country, volleyball, basketball, baseball, soccer, yearbook, computers, art club, nursing home ministry, student council, etc. All elementary students have art, music, P.E., and computers, and upper elementary have band, cross country, and basketball. Students who excel in our program will excel in their future endeavors as well.

This school is quite a treasure. My child has excelled here and scores very high in her standardized testing. The staff is very qualified and the very best. I highly recommend OSCS to any parent looking for a great school K4-12. .

My kids went to this school K4 to 12th grade and loved it. The were well prepared for college and were very successful. The teachers are real Christians and love the students. I hope I can send my grandchildren to school there.

The teachers at this school were a hindrance on my education. I felt behind when I went to college. Some of the teachers are not even qualified to teach the subjects they are assigned to. Favoritism is shown towards members of that church and everyone else is judged by their appearance (They discipline people based on a bunch of absurd rules. i.e.: dress code). Don't be deceived, this is one reason why their attendance has been gradually dropping. It socially hindered me and they preach a life of bigotry and proselytizing. This hypocrisy has actually weakened my relationship with God! I credit myself for getting into a good college. The lower level curriculum is decent, but the high school level barely keeps up to par with the standards set by the state of Georgia (No AP courses offered). Save your money, the public school district in Buford has national acclaim.
I have taught in several schools around the country. This school is by far the best run, high quality, high standards, etc., that any one could find. It is God honoring, God pleasing, and God blessed. I praise the Lord every day for Old Suwanee Christian School.

I love OSCS its the best school ever!!!! I've gone there my entire life and I am in 9th grade. I love being taught the Bible every day, it is great. I also like the small classes, this way you get more attention from your teachers than in classes filled with30+kids. If you are interested in sending your child to a private Christian school, I highly recommend OSCS!-P.S. you should really check out Old Suwanees Independent Baptist churchtoo!

This is my sixth year going to this school and I really enjoy it. I have never once heard or heard of a teacher curse at a student! All the teachers truly care about their students. This school seems like a comfort zone where I can grow in the Lord and be taught everything from a christian perspetive, and how to apply it out in the world. Because we have smaller classes, teachers can easily answer all of our questions and help us understand. The new building is wonderful, also!!!! It's a professional,Godly, and caring school!

I am a graduate of Old Suwanee Christian School, and very proud of it. The teachers are great, and so is the curriculum. Students learn how to face the future through a Biblical perspective. Whoever posted the April 8, 2008 review on this website is not telling the truth about this wonderful ministry. The teachers love their students, and no actions such as described this 'parent' never take place (if they did, this teacher would no longer be employed). I just wanted to set the record straight about the school. If you are looking for a great Bible teaching and believing school to send your children to, I strongly recommend Old Suwanee Christian School.

I have two children at Old Suwanee and they are taught the Bible daily. The Teachers love the kids and maintain dicipline in the classrooms so everyone can learn. Come to a graduation at Old Suwanee where (every) senior speaks about future plans, faviorite bible verse and how it applies to them, and how they will serve the Lord in the future. The seniors (all of them) have the skills to be sucessful in life with Book Smarts and a good moral grounding in what is really important.

Old Suwanee is the only school I would ever send my children. Not only do my kids get lifelong friends but the classes are smaller so they get more attention time from their teacher. They teach my children morals and how to live a good, faihthful christian life. They learn how to write cursive starting in K4 and will even be ableto read a full booklet by the end of their K4 year. The academic growth I have seen in my son inhis first year alone has blown me away.I highly recommed this school for anyone who is looking for their children to learn good wholesome values and academic growth beyond measures!

My son loves this school. He is so excited about kindergarden. The first week he wanted to go on Saturday. Although this is my son's first year and he is only in K-5, we love the academic growth he is experiencing. He is bringing home little books and reading them out loud to me little by little. He is writing his name in cursive, and writing all the letters in the alphabet. I also appreciate how they involve the parents. His teacher sends home a report of his behavior every day on his calendar in a very simple and effective way. And his teacher is open to input from us. My husband and I are very pleased and excited about how our son is progressing, that we have already enrolled him into first grade for next year.
