I have only attend this school for the the later part of the year. Over the short period of time I have noticed that some of the teacher's lack motivation to teach and the students are the same away. On the other hand if you are student who likes smaller classrooms for better learning then this school is for you

This school has a lot of growing and maturing to do. Because it is in a small town, there are still many dated ideals. Parent invovlement is not encouraged unless you are in the 'click'. The principal needs to move forward and find something else as a career. His interest is not in motivating the students and many of the teachers are the same way. There are a few adults in the system who value the need for education and are interested in helping our youth become great adults and leaders of our future. If they would create rules and regulations that are held to all then more parents would want to be involved. But here its seems to be the 'good ol' boy' way. Its not about right or wrong, its all in who you are or who you know.

I think this school is one of the very few that will actually show you different ways to do things. They dont just show you one way to do something and expect you to know it right off the bat. They sit down and explain it to you in ways that you can understand if someone else understands and you dont they will make sure that they show you a way youll understand without being lost. If you need extra help the teachers will be happy to stay after school help you. They put everything that you learn on a level so youll understand it. I believe they do whatever they can to help you if someone is acting out or disturbing the class they'll tend to it instantly so that you can learn what you need to.

as a junior at taylor county highh school i think the school is a zoo! many of the students are not disciplined causing those that are to become distracted. the teachers have their favorites and no student is treated the same. pretty much, if your mom or dad works here you get away with anything. we dont have enough homework to actually prepare for the teachers tests and inside the classroom is rediculous!

middle school teachers are a joke. they are not professional and they all are in cliques. everybody knows everybodies business. if you are not a cacausian, you are treated like dirt. just because a teacher has been there for 25 yrs. shouldn't give her the right to outright lie and destroy student's self-esteem. every teacher should be tested yearly and judged on her people skills as a teacher, and also, teachers taking bipolar medicine should not be teaching if they can't disciplined themselves to take their medication each and everyday they are encountered with students.

We have a few great Teachers and we have some that are below par. Our School Counselor is not out to help the students, needs to be replaced. If i can I will help him out the door. We have a good Princple who can help move our school forward if allowed. Parent's need to be more active in their children's education, check out these teachers that seem to be causings trouble. Before It is to late, we need to take our school back and work with the Teachers that want our children to get a good education.

As a parent of 3 kids in this school I like the fact that the teachers will work with the parents. I have been able to e-mail the teachers and counselor and get productive information in order to track the progress of my children.

As the mother of two Taylor Co. graduates,I am confident that my children received a quality education at this school. They have good stable careers, and are happy, productive citizens. The football program and the band were a definite plus in their lives.

The press and public are putting more emphasis on the prom and not education.
