i think this school has a very low math stats but a great set of teachers.!!!!!!!
As a former employee of Mitchell County Middle School, I can attest to the quality of the instruction and the determination of the administration to have an exemplary school. There are many factors that add to the successes of the school over the past few years, chiefly among them are improving test scores. Even though there are some other improvements that need to be made, the school is continuing to make strides in all areas, academic and otherwise.
Mitchell County Middle School have lots of academic challenges going on. Although it is a needs improvement schoo, Mitchell Middle students have scored in the 80 percentile in writing, more than 5 percent gain in both reading and math for the year 2006-07. In addition to remediation programs, the school provides enrichment programs geered to strengthen the gifted and most talented students. The school has a great mentoring program for new and beginning teachers. I am excited and enthused about the great things the administration and teachers are doing for the children at Mitchell Middle School.
