I agree with the previous rating. The "donations" asked for at school is really getting out of hand. I receive 3 or 4 emails a week , if not more from the school or the teachers asking for money, food, school supplies, cleaning supplies, art supplies, party supplies. What was the point of giving us a "school supply" list at the beginning of the year if you are only going to ask for 100 more items on a weekly basis? and I might add, the school supply list was long and not cheap. Do they not understand not every child's family brings in 6 figures?

When school was closed for 9 days they asked the K-2 if they would like a 'make up work' packet sent home. We asked for the packet, thinking it would be what was missed on those days. Well 9 days worth of work turned out to be more work then I have received from my child ALL YEAR LONG! (100+ pages) I also found out from the inadequate teacher that "sometimes we don't have the tests" because they "run out of time" and never have a "make up day" because they don't have time but when I have been to the classroom on several "pop-in" visits they are always watching a movie!? Teachers are huddled in the corner talking....good time management there. No one oversees that these teachers are doing the required curriculum. This school asks for 'donations' of money for everything on a weekly basis more then any school I have ever known (and I have other grown children, so yes, I am familiar with what is "normal"). I receive email on a daily basis begging for money or food for every occasion. The only things the teachers really care about is "winning prizes" for their classroom collecting the most money or items for whatever they are begging for this week.

This is a Fantastic School! All three of my children have had the honor of going here. The teachers are second to none. The administrative staff is amazing. My children were prepared for middle school and all loved attending each day! We have been truly blessed!

Ok, I have posted before but posted a name and didn't get approved. I will be quick and to the point. If you want to give your child the best education, send them to Sixes and if your child has special needs you have a better reason. The special education dept is superb. It has to be the best there is....it just has to be. Ms. V has taught my daughter to read and Ms. M both in the spec Ed dept are the reason why my husband turned down a transfer job. Let's just hope for the sake of their children, that the charter school parents realize there was not the need for charter and put their child back into the best school in the southeast. And the principal Mr. h is an awesome principal and person. Helped keep my son on the right track.

Sorry. I meant mrs. M instead of Mrs. L. I don't think there is an L but if there is, I am sure she is good too!

Great school! We moved from an excellent school area in another state about 2 years ago and looked only at areas with excellent schools. Sixes has not let us down. Leadership is great and teachers are first class. The AIM program also provides a wonderful opportunity. Parent involvement is high and our child has made some excellent friends.

I have one student that has gone on to middle school and one in his last year at Sixes. We sought out Sixes when we first moved to Canton, and we've never looked back. Sixes continues to amaze us through the support that it gives its children and the respect that it lends to its parents. My children have been on opposite sides of the spectrum, one requiring constant challenges, and the other requiring resource assistance. Sixes, through its dedicated and patient teaching staff, and proactive administration has encouraged my two to not only achieve, but excel at their goals. You all will be greatly missed when our 2nd child moves on.

Our child has Autism and has attended other programs. This one at Sixes is amazing and our child has shown marked and I mean amazingly marked improvements this year. We are overwhelmed with what our child has learned as far as appropriate behaviors and academics. The administration is incredible as well. We love our child's teacher! Love you Ms. P!

I absolutely love this school. We moved from Florida and I was apprehensive about the schools in GA. But we specifically picked this area for Sixes and have been extremely pleased. Mrs. McGruder is my son's teacher and she is the most amazing teacher I have ever met. She is so dedicated and wonderful with the children. It's nice to see teachers teach because they love to, not because it's their job. The school has something going on all the time, from dances to book fairs to Fall Festivals. The open door policy is great and they still maintain the safety of the children. Sixes gets an A+ grade.

This school rallied behind my parents during a time of tragedy and absolutely amazed me with their thoughfulness and generosity. I would be so lucky to have my future children attend this school.

It's like getting a private school education here in a public school. The staff is so innovative and make you feel like part of the Sixes family from the start!

Outstanding school!! As former PTA president and currently a parent of 6 children attending the school, the school staff and teachers are awesome. They are prepared for students of all abilities and always have the students in a positive environment for the best learning possible. Great job Mr. Hultquist, Ms. Nay and Mr. Dixon as well as all the teachers for making Sixes the best elementary school in Georgia!!!

They are loving, and help bring out the best in each student. GREAT special needs dept. too. Don't hesitate to send your kids to the school. Great, Great, Great!!

This school has refined my kids education in all fields. The gifted program is the best and you can see the difference in academic acheivement and learning from the start. I especially love the way they really individualize study plans for every kid. I have been fortunate to have great teachers for mine and am sure all are dedicated similarly

I absolutely love this school, our daughter has been there two years and this past year has had two unfortunate events and her teachers, staff and principal handled in a manner that was professional and very caring. We have considering moving many times due to our commute, however, confirm our decision to stay due to the quality of the schools and comparisons to other schools in areas that we have considered.

Amazing school! We love SIXES and the staff. The teachers and administration are caring and keep you informed. I was impressed to hear from the teacher not only when there was a problem but when there were good things and even the funny things that happen during the day. We recently considered moving but are unwilling to leave this school. My son loves going to schoool and is excelling. My daughter starts this year and we are very excited. I highly reccomend it.
