This is an excellent School with a focus on educating our children not only academically but in character also, My son transferred into this school one year ago and I have been very pleased with his success. I have been quite impressed with the manners that the students display throughout thier day (even in the cafeteria) and the organization of events that transpire. The Administration and Staff are setting a great example for our students and as a parent I appreciate and applaud thier efforts. Deborah Dodds
I would give the school a 5 of 5 for the excellent teachers and staff. It is a great school and I love working with the teachers and staff there. My child loves the school as well.
Great teachers and staff!
Great things have happened at CES this year. Two of the most spectacular administrators have been put into place. I think everyone is going to be very plesantly surprised at just how much things have improved.
As a child I attended CES. It was like a blessing my son and soon my daughter will attend my school. I have to say I was sad to see Mr Brooks leave and this New one come in. CES has some excellent teachers.
I have two daughters that attend this school and they love it. I love the teacher interaction, as well as being kept informed at all times. This is a wonderful school that works with the parents. Academically they go at a pace which the children can keep up with. Extracurricular activities are wonderful as well. Each day they have a period set aside to partake in PE, music and art.
I am so glad this page is here! My oldest just moved to middle school, blessing or curse? I don't know yet. However I do have a small child still at CES and I have to agree with most of the feedbacks so far. As far as not picking up your kid(s)up early, by state law you can pick you child up anytime after 11:30am and they CANNOT be counted absent. Also all you are required to do to walk down the hall to get your child is sign in and get a pass. These are your children! NOT hers! As for the rest, most of the teachers are great with the kids and good people. The office workers could use some personallity and manners! WE MISS YOU MR. BROOKS!
As a mother of two, both in CES, I have to say that I feel the school is doing a great job. My younger son is in speech. Last school year, he made amazing progress with his speech. I am so grateful for that. My older son has gotten in some trouble and he was disciplined appropriately. I have felt that the staff was very helpful in the past and am sure they will be so again this year. Also, this year CES has the Opportunity Room which I believe will be a great resource. My children have great grades. They seem to sincerely like this school and their teachers. I do wish they could have P.E. twice a week every week. The CAMP scheldules will take a little getting used to. I really don't have anything to compare CES to but CES works for us. Nancy Smith
This school is a WONDERFUL school, with some of the best teachers Franklin County has to offer.(one being Mrs.Williams 1st grade) The children are well supervised and happy. The teachers and staff go out of thier way to make this school a enjoyable and productive learning experience .It's too bad that because of a few parents we are given such bad reviews. When reading these PLEASE keep in mind that there are over 600 children in this school and the negative feelings of 1 or 2 parents should not even be took into consideration. These are a group of parents that will be unhappy with any changes. As for the limited recess time, this is a state standard ( not a rule just randomly put in place by a new principal) if you are unhappy about this you need to go through the proper channels to have it changed.
I feel that this school is lacking discipline.I am unsure where the problem lies but it is there. This is my childrens first year at CES and it may very well be their last. I dont feel that the childrens safety or personal concerns are a priority to the principal. My children have came home nearly every day with a problem with bullies. They have even had physical injuries. The staff just seems to think that kids will be kids. However, I think that they just dont want to admit that there is a problem. My oldest child attended a different school system during her first two years and I never had the concerns that I have had this year. It seems that her learning process has slowed down as well. She is learning some of the same things as a second grader that she learned as a kindergartener in the previous school district.
