Cass High School

Cass High is at new location! People explain our school as a castle. Our principal went and did a clean up of most of our bad teachers last year and this year we have a bunch of teachers who care and want to help there kids pass! Also in the passed few weeks a few of the students did a very bad thing. These kids were very loved by everyone but the principal knew that he needed to not be biased and gave these kids the discipline that they needed! I feel extremely safe here and I believe this is an amazing place for your students to come to!

I am a student currently at Cass High School, and i have several mixed feelings about my school. I will start with the good: Our school does have several good teachers who are really there to teach, and really care about their students and their student's academic success. We also are getting a brand new school next year, so hopefully we are less cramped into our tiny school we have now. We also have great sports/arts programs, that are very welcoming. Now of course we have the bad. For every good teacher, there seems to be 2-3 absolutely awful teachers. Some teachers make you wonder why they are even a teacher, because they hate children and overall do not want to teach. There is a very serious discipline problem. there are also serious problems with students 'dipping' tobacco. There are many more problems, but not enough space to explain. Please avoid.

Cass High school has an amazing special needs program. I have had a child in Cass since 2005. That was and Autistic child. They not only met his needs, they were understanding and concerned about him AND me. I now have another son in that school and he is doing exceptionally well. He is in AP classes and loves the teachers.

Terrible School! It doesn't even deserve a star. I took my children out of this school after one semester. They said they didn't feel safe at Cass. The administration has no control over its students.

this school is the best ive ever been to. It's got great teachers and wonderful students. and evern though i moved to a different school, i will always be a colonel. Go colonels!

I see someone wrote a review that their student only gets 15 minutes of homework a week. I don't know what classes your student takes, but my kids are doing homework for 2 to 3 hours per night. Of course, I think the main reason for that is that the teachers no longer teach...they expect the student to figure out what they are supposed to be learning. I was, for the most part, educated in Georgia schools, and they were far better than Cass High School ever thought of being. I would recommend sending your student to some other school other than Cass High, if you able.

This school is to focused on sports and if you play a sport you can get away with anything, there are some good teacher there but other than that the rest of the staff is a joke.

I attended Cass until I moved. Until that point I had thought it was a great school. The reality is that it is not. The teachers have nearly given up and barely teach. Those that do teach are not the most enuthisiatic about it. The only way to get anything from the classes is to be in at least an honors class. I am was not to much into the sports but I did see that some football players got more lieniancy in classes when they were doing bad, which was most of the time. And I know nothing about the band program. The drama program though is great. The teacher is an actor himself and knows what he is talking about. He shows the students how to excel in the theater.

I have 2 sons that have attended Cass High School. One has graduated with honors and the other is a junior this year. Their dad also attended and loved it. My sons have done extremely well at Cass and although they have never been involved in sports they loved going to the football games and supporting their teams. Cass has always been a good school and I am glad my sons have attended.

I am a sophomore at cass high and i love it. The people and teaschers are so friendly and excepting. Cass high is an amazing school and any student who attends will become a better person because of all the help the teachers give you.

I have to constantly make sure the teachers are doing what they are suppose to do with my child's assignments. they usually will not do the right thing if i don't make sure.They blame him when they are noncompliant.

I feel that Cass is an exceptional school. I am very satisfied with the quality of education my son received. The principal is very firm, but fair. The teachers are truly committed to the success of their students and the students themselves have a great deal of pride in what they are able to accomplish at Cass High. The extracurricular activities and sports programs are the best in Bartow County. The football coach and other coaches have had great success in all sports. The band has consistently been the best in the county since they hired a new band director a few years ago. I am proud of what my son accomplished at Cass High and recommend it highly!

Cass Is an outstanding school. The teachers are amazing, and I wouldn't switch schools if i had a choice in the matter. Every school has failing students, and it's not the teachers faults, it's the students who won't listen to what anyone says. Yes, it isn't the newest, but we will be recieving a new school in 2010, and the atmosphere is amazing here. The teachers do everything possible to make your furture better, students just don't listen some of the time. On that subect, is an exceptional school, and it's an honor to attend it.

I attend this school and I personally love it. Yes, there are students who are failing and are not going to graduate, but the majority of these students have no work ethic and do not care about their education or their future. For the most part, the teachers are awesome. They really know their stuff and most of them have teaching strategies that are not only original but exceptional as well. You may run across a teacher or a class that you do not like, but if you stick it out and actually put forth some effort, you will be rewarded in the long run.

I feel that Cass High School does not focus on the important issue. I currently have a child attending and for an example if this child is absent one day the school calls but he will probably not graduate with his class due to missing credits and not a soul has contacted myself or my husband about this issue. I really think someone at this school should have caught this and at least made some gesture to rectify the situation.

I am a former student of Cass. I graduated in 2002. The last semester of my senior year I had to transfer schools and went to another state. I was extremely shocked when I got to my new school because it seemed they were a year and a half behind what i had just left at Cass. Cass is an outstanding school. The teachers seemed to really care about what was going on not only in school work but what was also happening at home. The teachers did their best to make sure we were challenged in our studies. Cass High was a terrific school and i hope and pray that it continues to be.

I am not a parent, but rather a former student. In 2002, I moved to a new school in a new state, and I have to say that from my experience, Cass High School is much better in almost every way I can think of. When I attended Cass High, I took for granted the teachers, the classes, and the clubs. Sure, at my new school they have clubs like a Comdey Club, or a Hip Hop Club, but these are not all that important to me as a person. The classes are easier, and the number of credits required is much less. What I'm trying to say is that Cass High expected more from the students, and for good reason. At Cass, parents opinions could be heard, a student's voice counted, and above all, education came first. Go Colonels!

2004 has proved to be a major turnaround in all areas for Cass High School. Athletics have had winning seasons, academics are priority with all head coaches and parent involvement is on the increase. The desire to make this a school of excellence is forefront in everyone's minds!

Cass High as well as Cass middle are the best schools I have ever attended. I believe they offer better education and values that surpass that of Cartersville city schools. My children will be students in the Cass school system. I also believe that school is for school work and home is for family time and social interaction. If a student is having trouble in some areas, the family (mom and/or dad) should get involved.

I attendend CHS many years ago and learned a great deal. Since then, now that my child attends this school, I have noticed a great change in priorities. The school seems to be more concerned with less important issues, in my opinion, than the issues that should really matter (such as an education). Is it the way the younger generation has evolved? or are the teachers so bogged down with less important issues that they don't have the time to do what they are actually hired to do?
