Mission Road Elementary School failed my child. He was not learning in this school. I took him out of school to home school him. This school called the Department of Family and Children Services, saying that my child was not on grade level and I was neglecting his education. I have been having to deal with DFCS since removing him from school. I went and had him tested to prove I can teach him, as I have been doing so since halfway through Kindergarten. Right now he is in 2nd grade and on level on everything, and well above grade level on some things. As high as a 5th grade level. I feel that this school does not meet the intellectual needs of advanced students, and when they lose the money they get from enrolled students, they try to force the parents into placing the kids back in their school.

I couldn't have been more pleased with Mission Road. I have 2 children that have come through here. From the principal to the custodial staff, they are truly great people. You couldn't pick a better school.

This school is everything I thought it would be and more. My child just completed Kindergarten. She was treated with respect, understanding, and patience from the staff. Principal Summey knows the name of every child, and she truly cares about this school. My child has never had any issues or come home crying...she actually looked forward to Monday all weekend long! Her wonderful teacher made learning fun. I highly recommend MRES to any parent, but don't tell anyone! Mission Road is the best-kept secret in Georgia!

I have to rate this school a 5 at all levels as I have had a wonderful experience with both of my children attending this school. The Principle(s) have been exceptionally open to parent volunteers which has made a hugh impact on this school. The teachers & staff have been very encouraging, loving and helpful in all areas with both my children. This is extermely important to me since my children came from a private christian school. They have a wonderful lunchroom & maintanence staff. A great P.E. program where they offer jumprope and tiniklin teams after school. They welcome you at any time of the day. I took for granted the loving, caring, atmosphere of this school until my daughter started Middle School. There is no comparison to the great leadership, high academic standards & friendly atmosphere they strive hard to obtain at Mission Road Elementary.
