Five stars for the school's financial assistance program! It really helps out.I have three children attending Excel; I am very pleased with the academic challenges, the athletic opportunities, and the advanced art and music classes. Even my elementary student can participate in dance, gymnastics, or piano after school. My children are happy and involved; they are learning a good work ethic and the importance of dedication to a personal endeavor, which is exactly happens when you become enrolled in a smaller school setting. Challenges do arise, but it is how you react to these challenges that really count.

We love Excel !!! This school is growing by leaps and bounds and what a great vibe I get from teachers and staff every time I drop my kids off !! This school is a blessing to this community for parents who do not want their children attending big government schools. Excel also offers a variety of after school programs and free after school care and tutoring. Excel also provides financial assistance for families that qualify....

Excel has been great for my kids. My oldest just graduated and because of his strong background and test scores in math he has exempted his math requirements in college. Not only has Excel provided my kids with a quality education, it has also been a place where they have been able to grow in their faith. We are very thankful for Excel!

Leadership is the problem here. I feel the principal has a very haughty spirit and treats people very condescendingly, parents included. I am leaving my child there for now, because academically its a superior school to anything else in Cartersville, and I am hoping for a change in leadership SOON. It costs a pretty penny to send your child here, and I despise the way parents and children are treated in return by the principal. Several of my childs' friends are transferring after this school year, for this very reason. The parents can't accept the principals' way of treating people. If your purely about academics, this is a great school. If you don't like being talked down to, then stay away. They should realize that we are not sup par achievers as parents, and most of us are in the top levels of our workplace, otherwise our children wouldn't be at this school. From a parent hoping Dr. Nelson and Mr. Deems make a leadership change sooner rather than later.

I'm an alumni of Excel. I loved my time there, however everything I hear now about the school is horrible. It is a fact that they can't seem to keep teachers and the turnover rate is atrocious. Grades have fallen because many of the teachers that they do have(particularly in math) are not quality. I knew that when I graduated, I was prepared for college in most areas(especially in history!), but now I hear students worrying they won't be competitive in college because they aren't receiving an adequate education. And they aren't students just wanting to gripe but students who have been there from a young age, have loved Excel and fully expected to graduate from there. Students can't seem to transfer out fast enough now! When a school has to hire a math tutor who is not a part of the school to come in and help the kids understand concepts that they aren't getting in class there is a problem. The majority of the issues seem to stem from the current leadership who is more concerned with acting big then being a true leader. I'm worried if the Board doesn't step in and correct the leadership problems, there won't be a school left.

We have two students at Excel and one who has already graduated Excel. We are thrilled with the results the school has given us. Our students are well educated and interested in culture, economy and business. We could not be more pleased with the quality of teachers and administration.

This is a GREAT school. The elementary and middle school staff are loving and supportive and are always available if a student is in need of extra help. The highscool teachers are great people, but this highschool is very demanding. I would not, however, recomend this school for students who are in 11th and 12th grade. My school advisor, and well as the head teachers of highschool lead me to believe that I had a 3.5 GPA. This was NOT the case. They failed to inform me of my true GPA (without Bible and elective) and I graduated without HOPE. This is a MAJOR error on their end.

I am very thankful for Excel Christian Academy. My children enjoy coming to school and are reaching new heights academically. I believe that moral conviction is apparent in their everyday life and I believe that they will be well prepared for college.

I have been so pleased and blessed to have my children in this school. I have truly been amazed to see how much they have benefited from all aspects of the education that they have received here. They have been constantly challenged to learn at a higher level. They have grown Spiritually for which I am truly thankful. I believe that with this firm foundation that they have received at this school, they will be able to meet the challenges that life will present them as they move forward.

My child went to ECA for two years and although the school strives for academic excellence, they seem to forget about the student along the way. They are not accepting of students who do not quite 'fit the mold'. If your child is a non-conformist, I would recommend you continue looking.

Excel is just that, a school of Excellence. The academics are very challenging and rewarding with most graduates receiving scholarships. The teachers and staff are excellent and really care about each child. The school is SACS accredited and a member of the GHSA. Our sports program is getting bigger and better every year and offers many sports for males and females. This school helps students be well rounded, polite and ready for the world of college!

I am a 2000 graduate of Excel and cannot say enough about my experience there. I attended from 6th on. During my tenure I always tested above the national average on SATs and ACTs. I participated in joint enrollment and found that Excel had done an exceptional job at preparing me for the challenge. Several of my friends attending other schools struggled at first but it was an easy transition for me. The teachers were extraordinary. They gave us their numbers and were always available if we or our parents had a question about school or needed prayer. I am still very close to the members of my graduating class. Academically Excel is extremely challenging but it is well worth it. I finished college in three years with a 3.7 GPA while cheering collegiate. Another member of my class is currently at Princeton.I currently am a teacher here!! Mrs. Daniels

Excel has been such a large part of my childs academic success since Kindergarden. I can say with all honesty that the Administrative staff as well as the teaching staff do everything within their power to help each student strive to be the best academically and spiritually. They treat each student with care and respect, and expect nothing less in return. I know the staff personally as many of our parents do. They dedicate many extra hours to the growth of the student body. We also have a tremendous amount of parent participation here. That combined with our admin/teaching staff is really what makes our school so GREAT! Academically, ECA is a tough school. It takes dedication and hard work for parents and students alike. It is worth it. The majority of our graduating classes move on to college where they also excel academically.
