10 out of 10 because the have awesome teachers that actually teach very important information about the world and also our community.
The school seems to have decline since 2006. Many know why but aren't saying. Some people think we should be more like a state to the south. Therefore, morale is low. There may be a high turn over in teachers this year. The school did not make AYP for the year 2009. My son graduated a couple of years ago when it was a good school. This year, I'll be sending my youngest child to Woodland.
Cartersville is a great school. There is a somewhat diverse student population, but programs and teachers effectively serve the students. Our ESL teachers are amazing, reaching out to this population in both the school and the community.
Glad we were part of this school. Best thing we did was to send our child here. Never found any thing negative to say in 4 years.
I had 3 daughters graduate from CHS. The last one in 1996 so this info may be somewhat out of date. However, I do not know of a single friend of all 3 girls who does not have at least a bachelor's degree. My youngest daughter has 2 friends just finishing med school, one who will get his PhD in microbiology in Dec., 2 law students and one on the faculty of Agnes Scott college. I'm sure others had different experiences but if the student puts out the effort, the school gives them what they need to succeed. Oh, yes, no one required remedial instruction in college.
Cartersville is an overall good school to attend. The majority of the faculty and staff are wonderful; and really care about the students as they would care for their own. Its also a great traditional school.
I love Cartersville! The teachers are easy to work with, and most of them generally enjoy what they are doing. I learned a lot during my 4 years and I wouldn't have gone to any other school in the county.
