CMS is a great school. I love it. we have fun, but we also learn alot. The faculty and staff are absolutly wonderful. And sure we have some bad days but honestly what school doesnt? it might not be you idea of a great place, but the faculty and staff work really hard to make it for that way for all us

The students and staff at CMS are wonderful. The teachers, and other faculty who are often overlooked, really care about the wellbeing of all students. I believe that CMS has a bad reputation for discipline problems because people only spead 'bad news'. Good things are not discussed the way a fight is. I encourage anyone who has doubts about CMS to visit the school and speak to Mrs. Cromer and her staff. The staff as a whole is doing everything they can to prepare all students for the future!

I am an 8th grade student at Cedartown Middle, and i have had a great experiance at this school. Although many people comlpain about the discipline problems, I have been at the school for almost 3 years and i have never had an experiance with a serious discipline problem. I believe that if you stay with the right group of people, then there wont be any problems. Although I cannot speak for the children who have regular classes, I have had amazing teachers at Cedartown Middle. I have had all gifted classes 6th,7th, and 8th grade and my teachers have been great. The band program at Cedartown Middle has become very strong in the last few years, and I would encourage any upcoming 6th grader to join the band. The director, Mr. Isbell, is a great director. Cedartown Middle has its problems, but personally I have really enjoyed it.

Cedartown Middle school has had a lot of good changes since Mrs.Cromer has became principal. One thing that I disagree with though is the lunchroom food. My two children come home complaining. Because they are always left with hamburgers or fish sandwiches.

i think that there are lots of things that still need to change at this school. There is a big issue with safety. I know that lots of things have been blown out of porportion, but there are lots of things that haven't. I have a child in the sixth grade. My child is shy and not as outgoing as he could be, however, my child has never been asked, 'can I help you'? I am concerned with the curriculum that the middle school follows. I do not think that there are many teachers that really go the extra mile at our middle school. That really upsets me. I know that since Mrs. Cromer has become principal, there have been lots of really good changes. I think making a child tuck in their sweatshirt is a little much, but I also think that she has done a good job overall.
