Spring Place Elementary is a special place. The principal does a great job of welcoming the parents and community, and the teachers do a great job of teaching.

Spring Place has some of the most dedicated teachers and staff that I've ever seen. As a retired teacher, I can see the quality of education that the students at Spring Place are receiving.

I don't know where to begin...I just moved here from California and over the last year I have seen so many ways that Spring Place Staff in general care personally about their students. They are not from the richest part of the country and yet are rich in caring beyond anything I have seen. I have seen the teachers and para pros care so much, they donate and get involved with the welfare of their students in a very emotional and personal way. All of this for the children, and the good for them, not for the good of the 'school' nor it's image if you know what I mean. These people really care. They donate food and necessities to the children, and take an interest in their quality of emotional well being as well as their learning. This school's staff amazes me there is no budget to allow for the children to have even the kinds of meals and equipment they deserve but they work together ...and changes my view completely as to what a better equipped school really is.

Many of the comments below are outdated. The Principal has changed in the past few years, and the new Principal is doing a great job. Spring Place is a great school with amazing teachers and students.

I am not very pleased with this school. There are not enough teachers, class rooms are over crowed. The whole school needs improvement. It is very out dated. While the Prinipal has tried to update and get things looking better..There is still the matter that the kids are still not getting all the academics they need to improve!!! They simple do not have the time nor the teachers to make this a great school.

I am very pleased with the Principal this year. She seems to really be on top of things with the P.t.o. program and the academics like the fitness program and the drama.. I really like the way she has added improvements.. Hope she sticks around for a while. I also noticed that the test scores are improved this year .. way to go!

Seems to be a alright school, just needed new leadership, and a good PTA program, need more fundraisers too, the school needs to be updated, to make it more pleasing to the eye. d like to see the teacher's wear more professional style of clothing, instead of jeans etc, hopefully with the new principal things will improve! Thank you!

The principal at Spring Place has resisted and sucessfully stopped efforts to form a PTA. Information about your child, such as progress and test scores, is not automatically passed onto parents. Information about school services is not relayed. For example, information on Summercare program was not provided by Spring Place; however, other elemantary schools in Murray provide info yearly. We have had to request our Daughter's test scores, as they were never given to parents. It appears the teachers at Spring Place are excellent. It lacks leadership.
