We transfered our child from telfair county into bleckley and we are so pleased with the devotion and dedication of this great school.
I have just recently decided to homeschool my child that was there because we too transfered into the county and had problems with the teacher and vice principal of this school because they said that my child was not on level when he came from one of the best schools in the state. Being at home he is doing much better and is reading better than he was there and we are all happier. I also had no contact at all from the principal and found out that the teacher he had and the vice principal are college buddies. They were the ones with the problem. I also found that they did not want to do anything but bombard my six year old with tons of homework. More than my older children have.
My child is in the first grade at Bleckley Primary and we have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I am truly amazed at everything my child has learned through this school system and I would like to say Thank You!
This is such a wonderfull school. I have 4 children and all 4 have gone through the primary school, they have learned so much and the teachers as they say are 'The Bom' the teachers are so careing and understanding. great school !!
I had two children in the Bleckley County Primary School who had to transfer to a new school in October of last year. I now know how lucky I was to have my kids in such a wonderful school. The school that they now attend dosen't compare to Bleckley Primary. Bleckley County has an excellent school system.
We transferred from out of town and found that if you were not part of the 'click' your child is treated differently. Our child just finished Kindergarten and received bad marks only on the period she was enrolled there because her teacher did not personally like my husband and I. Her GKAP scores are excellent and when we asked why her report card was different than her test scores we are told 'we don't have to use that as a grading guideline.' Our state uses that as a skills assessment but Bleckley county says they do not follow those guidelines. We will enroll our child in a new school next year. We are very disappointed in how this has been handled.
My oldest child transferred to the primary school last year & since he has been there his reading & writing skills have improved 100%. the teachers there are committed to their job, & it has been my experience that they are always looking out for what is best for the kids they teach. keep up the good work & I look forward to my other children attending the school.
A great school that really seems to care for your children.
