I am a current student at N. Clayton High and I'm not complaining. I like my school, honestly. The teachers are absolutely amazing and even the young teachers are willing to push us to succeed in everything we do. I absolutely loveeeee my principle because he actually takes the time to get to know all the students individually and push them to exceed their own expectations. My school gets many scholarship offers and many people can't say that. I mean of course we have our bad bunch of students, but what school doesn't? A school wouldn't be a school with out such a diverse environment of personalities. If the media keeps on talking negative things about my school into existence then, more than likely the misdirected bunch will act out. Anywhooooo, I just felt the need to say that.
I think that other should know that North Clayton is a good for students to go to . Its not like how people say it is, its really a good school. I like the way that the students get along, how the teachers are there to help the students when they need the help with their work. My school could improve by getting new books for each class so that we the students could receive a better education. They can also improve by getting hot water so that the students could keep their hands washed and cleaned.
My school is North Clayton High School. Although others might say it is on of the worst schools in a bad school system, I believe the school has very high potential. I am a freshman this year and something my history teacher told me was that most of our books are outdated. This kind of brings a negative impact towards the results of every student's EOCT. When I found out I was attending this school I immediately thought this was a bad turning point in my future. I understand that students have to take school seriously, but when it comes down to the lack of updated resources, who is to blame? The Principal? The County? The State? It just doesn't make sense for a school with an environment that is getting better by the minute to perform so badly. This comes to my conclusion that if this school were to get $5000, it would make huge difference in my life and the lives of my peers. I don't know how much more I can stress this because everything I just wrote came for the heart. I just want the best for my school just like anybody else. I hope what I've written isn't over looked because this means the world to me. It kind of tears me up for what I've said means a lot to me and my life.
I use to be a student there and it could of been better . You can slip in and out of that school with no problem . But other than that they have good teachers when they want to be . There were nice people i went to school with there . But everything could be better .
I will be honest in saying that I was very nervous about my daughter going to N. Clayton High. Primarily because of all of the horror stories that I heard from the media as well as other people just talking. Our experience was very different after she attended her first year there. She did have a minor adjustment period. But because we were very hands on with her teachers and the schools counselor, our issues were quickly resolved. There are definitely opportunities for any child to be successful. As in any environment, you have those who are serious about success and you also have those who could care less. My personal belief is that even if the school is in the bottom of the ghetto, if you really desire to succeed, you can succeed. I'm not saying that the school is in the ghetto, I used that as an example. My daughter will be attending again this year. I'm in expectation of her having another successful year. Parental involvement and making sure that the student, teachers, and parents work together for the success of the child is the key !
My son attends NCHS and he loves it. All schools have bad apples and they must be weeded out. For the last two years, NCHS has exceeded any other school in Clayton Cty with receiving scholarships, so they cant be that bad. They have several programs that can help each child. And parents must be involved in their child's education, whether elementary, middle or high school. NCHS has great education opportunies.
i am a current student a North Clayton and there are many actitvies to enter and great vocational training. the only thing i disagree with is the new uniform policy.
My sister and neice graduated from this school, and now my son is entering the 9th grade. I have been very pleased with the school as a whole. I hope that they continue to improve with much success.
I believe their academic programs which include the international baccalaureate scholars, offer students choices that most high schools do not have.
North Clayton is an overall good school . I am a senior here at North Clayton and i feel prepared to go out and start my life. The teachers that I have really care and tought me that my education is important and i will not get any where without one . We have made AYP in the past year and we are looking forward to making it next year.
I am a junior at North Clayton, and i would like to say for the people who judge a book by its cover, spend a week at north clayotn so you can really see whats going on. North Clayton has one of the worst reputation but we're makin AYP......think about it( we cant be that bad)
NCHS is moving in the right direction. Parents and community participation will make this the best school in Georgia. The school does not get the funding it need for administrate staff, updated technology, students music instrument, and school basic supplies.
I just moved to Ga last year and to be honest, North Clayton isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Like in all schools, there are teachers who really care and there are other who work for a paycheck. There a students who come to work hard and get an education and there are others who play around. All high schools have discipline problems. Although, I think that North Clayton has had more than its share. You really do have to take the good with the bad. I think that it's an ok school; however, it wouldn't be my primary choice.
Hi, I'm a freshman here at North Clayton and I'll say since I've been here there has been some chaos. First of all some teachers really care about the kids and try to help but most don't even try. This school has over 600 freshmen and that's a problem. My bus was over crowded until November because there wasn't enough seats for everybody so the last two stops had to stand up and my stop was the last one. So that was a problem but not anymore for my bus but it took them to long to find a solution. This year we went through 4 principals before Christmas break. The after school activities are ok even though I'm not in any, but there isn't a lot of them.
I have been to the school on 3 occasions. I have noticed a caotic enviorment in the office area. Very harsh not warm and comforting. I felt unwelcomed when visiting the school.
They are worried about the kids wearing long shirts thats 3 inchs pass the waist, although the ruled book states something different but there s more the boys shirt can not be above the waist line nether I think GA has a lot of things to change in the school system and tackle the real issues that affect learning.' Not if your shirts to long . A student
As A Student Of North Clayton High I personally feel that North Clayton has improved over the years but still have along way too go. There are many great teachers there but there are also teachers there who hate there job and does care about the students learing process. For any parent looking to enroll there child in this school I say Keep looking its not worth it.
The shcool is what the staff, children and parents have made it out to be regardless of participation it is still an excellent school. The choices to learn is up to that individual student with the necessary encouragement of the parent(s). I would especially like to give Dr. Manning two thumbs up because he is truly a wonderful principal who has been an influential disciplinary authority as well as a mentor to my children. Just like in the olden days--there is a new sheriff in town. There has been good and bad experiences but more good than bad. I was sad to hear that Dr. Manning would be leaving but happy for his due promotion however upon speaking to him he assured me that he would still be a part of NCHS. VRG Thanks
