I am a teacher at Shaw and have been there for five years. Shaw is a wonderful school and the teachers truly care about the success of their students. Students are encouraged and expected to do their best at Shaw! I am proud to teach at Shaw High School!

My son is now a senior at Shaw. He has attended this school since his freshman year. Our experience, for the most part, has been positive. He's had some wonderful teachers who were extremely dedicated and really cared about making students successful. On the other hand, he had one teacher who did not seem to care much about the students and was more focussed on her upcoming retirement. Leadership could be improved as disciplinary matters are not handled in a timely manner.

Ummmmm. No i am a current student at shaw and all the students do is mess around. Shaw's learning environment is very lacking, but its the students, not the teachers. 'Its not great to be a shaw raider!'

Shaw has a great environment and great students. It also offers the Global Media Resources magnet that teaches students to use equipment that professionals use. Check out their website at shaw.mcsdga.net

Being a deployed parent, I never miss a beat or update on my child's activities or grades. This school believes in being in touch with the parents and when I return stateside I will return the favor! Excellent staff!

I loved being a Shaw raider! I learned the life skills that are necessary to succeed in anything that is thrown my way. I had a learning disability in math and English and the special Ed teachers help me tremendously. If you met me today you wouldn t believe I had a learning disability. I m currently attending college at Central Texas and have just opened my own daycare it was the time they invested in me that made me have the courage to make my dreams come true!

My daughter went to Columbus High, and Northside before settling at Shaw in her junior year. She loved it, immediately fit in, and had the best high school year of her life. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Shaw's reputation should be ignored. The teachers were exceptional and helped her maintain a 3.5 GPO all year. Choose this school over any others in Georgia.
