Key Elementary School

I'm a Key parent that thinks Key deserves a 5 out of 5. Key is a 'Cornerstone School,' using advanced literacy strategies. Also, which is rare in Columbus South, they provide our kids with lots of field trips and extracurriculars. I've never seen a more dedicated staff and principal. They do a morning news program with kids as the news anchors and producers - it is like a mini telecommunications magnet that shows off our kids' work. THANK YOU KEY!

Key Kids Love Learning is the school's motto and they live up to it. I've never seen better leadership from a principal either. She's strict but you can tell she really cares.

My son has gone there his first three years. He loves the teachers. The principal is great and she gets involved with the children. They have always kept in touch with what he does and where he needs to improve.

I think this is a great school for the part of Columbus it is in. The teachers are great and really care about their students. The principal is one of the best in Columbus. She is dedicated to the teachers, parents and students of Key.

I was very disappointed with this school. They made a lot of bad decisions due to overcrowded classrooms, with little or no records to justify these decisions. The opinion of paraprofessionals were held as gospel. This school forced me to make a major decision regarding my dauughter's education.

My children really enjoyed this school and left well prepared for middle school.
