We have increasingly become disappointed in this school and will be removing our child after this year. We have attended for four years. It has gone from great to poor over these four years. The administration is dishonest, secretive, manipulative and lacking vision. The reputation in the community has been tarnished beyond repair. Enrollment continues to decline as other schools see record numbers.

I would not recommend this school, the school is riddled with problems from administration to teachers , to sports ego's . Please do your due dligence before coming to this school. You will find that most of the teachers do not walk the walk as portrayed. The administration tends to tell parents what they want to hear, but they can't seem to exercise. Looking at other reviews it became apparent that others in the past have been in the same situation. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money to get into a Christian environment with a strong academic curriculum.

I have been so impressed with all the extra-curricular opportunities offered for students. From Spiritual Growth Week to drama productions to athletics, HCA students have a lot of opportunities beyond the nurturing academic environment. My child LOVES this school, and so do we. Refreshingly unique!

As a strong believer in Christ, it is very difficult to to recommend this school to anyone. Too many problems with administration and as some may "say" that all decisions are made through prayer....I heard the talk but did not see the walk. So sorry to say I would NOT recommend this school.

Horizon Christian Academy provides a great environment for learning. My son attended attended this school as a student and I am a staff member. Horizon Christian Academy small class sizes, Christian family atmosphere, and caring instructors are what attracted us to it. HCA is the right size to offer Advanced Placement classes and sports but small enought to know other students and teachers' names.

Administrators in any organization, both secular and Christian, must make decisions that are the best for the entire student body and families. I know that decisions by administrators at HCA are made after thorough due diligence and girded in fervent prayer. As a parent, I find it sad that harmful comments would be made without having the knowledge and facts that admin and board members are privy to. HCA is academically rigorous and focuses on the development of the whole child. More importantly, Christ is at the center of all things.

HCA s athletics program is award-winning in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and baseball. Students have many opportunities in the fine arts. Students are busy preparing for both a spring concert, in addition to a musical that will be performed by students in grades K-6. Spiritual growth is focused on at the beginning of each school year, again for a week in February, and throughout the year via service to the community, daily devotions and bible classes, and weekly chapel services. Lots of opportunity for individual growth!!!

My child has attended HCA for several years and is at the top percentile for standardized test. We have been more than happy with her academically and socially.

My child enrolled in Kindergarten this year. This school has been such a blessing to my kindergartener as well as my family. If you are deciding on a school for your children, check out HCA. I have only experienced amazing things. My 6 year old is reading 1st- 3rd grade material since enrolling at HCA. The staff and administration are loving and supportive toward students and families. I am thankful to be a part of this amazing school!
