Piney Grove Middle School has transformed my daughter from average to excellent. The school provide holistic care, however, academic achievement is unremarkable. I am very satisfied with Piney Grove middle School and would recommend as the first option for children. The Principal has strong leadership skills and teachers are excellent.

My son is in 6th grade at Piney and we could not be more thrilled. The Principal is no pushover and I love her for it. The teachers have been very caring and helpful. There are so many activities and clubs offered. Curriculm is very rigious and advanced class are offered to all children who want to challenge themselves, not just those deemed "gifted" by a test.

Piney Grove is absolutely the worst school I have ever sent my (eighth grade) son to. on the first day here he came home and cried over the awful things other students had said about him. when I talked to the schools counselor she said those involved in the bullying would be stopped. now its almost winter break and they have done nothing to help him. unless you count being pulled from academic courses to be grilled by the counselor about his private life and accused of being involved in malicious activities. the principal at this school was insufferable. my son was sent to the principals office after a student reported being 'afraid' of him .when I asked what he had done to scare the kid she refused to tell me, she simply said that it didn't matter and that the fact that a person was scared of him made him the worst of mankind. believe me, my son is a great kid in every way but this school is not what it was. the teachers here are OK at best. the curriculum is very lobotomized compared to what most would consider the standard and the teachers ignore any bullying in the classroom that takes place although if the bullying gets violent as it has before then, teachers will stop it.

We had a daughter graduate and a son currenly enrolled. We are proud of their accomplishments and appreciate the great staff at Piney Grove. Recognition is well planned and I believe a significant reason Piney Grove excels. Thanks to the principals and teachers. Great Job.

I have had 2 children attend Piney Grove Middle School in the past. I think the principal is one of the best I have encountered during my 4 children's school careers. The teachers are top quality, as well. I know for a fact that all of the teachers offer extra help for those struggling with a subject or specific subject material in a class but many times my daughter was the only one to attend these extra help sessions (even though she had a high B or low A in the class). Those who needed the extra help (low grades) rarely attended. I've since heard that the school has adopted a community service day for the entire student body which I also think is wonderful. If education is important to you, you will not be disappointed with your children attending this school.

I love this school because the teachers understand and explain things to you well.
