East Paulding High School

I attended For 3 years here before leaving and I loved the atmosphere. The teachers took the time to assist in my academics when I was struggling. They really care.

As a Graduate of EPHS I saw only respect from teachers and faculty and was the best 4 years of High School I could ask for and they even help with college now if I have any questions. A Great school but a really crowded school that wa the only issue I had but everything has ups and downs

ephs is an excellent school. it seems to be the red-headed step child in an old traditional county in which the original county high school is still considered 'the high school.' however, in both academics and extra-curricular programs ephs seems to be at the top in it's district. though severely overcrowded, it has remarkably low discipline issues.

I am a parent of two students at EPHS and I will tell you that I am extremly disappointed in this school. It is over crowed and students have a difficult time getting from one area to the next without being late.

I am the parent of a freshman student. I chose this school through the school choice program in the county. Though it isn't what I experienced in high school, it is the best this county has to offer. I have been disappointed in the year round scheduling. My daughter has struggled in an honors class and cannot drop, so she may need to attend summer school to graduate on time. The counselors are overwhelmed because of overcrowding and the response to my questions haven't been that helpful. There is plenty of tutoring offered, though some of the instructors aren't good teachers.

I am a parent of a rising Junior, with good teachers. But, we have not been encouraged in the arts, due to rigid requirements for participation in some activities which would shut down other opportunities during the brief four years of High School. Rigidity in this manner is due to budget and staffing issues, it is clear to me as a parent. I had to seek elsewhere for my daughter's interest in a particular art to be developed outside school. She was discouraged also, in her school's procedural nightmare, vowing not to participate in the future.

They seem to be short of teachers as many first years have coaches. I was surprised also to hear that when the servers were down, the computer instructor chose to show a movie. The kids complain that the quality of the food is below expectations. Very strict on tardiness even if it occurs at the door of the room. Anyone needing to move from one side of the campus to the other will find this a very long trip during the break in classes. There have been times when instructors do not respond to repeated emails. I some cases you will get shuffled around from one person or department to another trying to get an answer.

After coming from a different school district in georgia, let me say that this is an outstanding school! the post about favoritism? Where? We have not seen that! not cowering to whining parents is what we are glad to see! nothing is more frustrating that for your child to earn something and it is given to someone else to make them 'feel better' or to appease the parents! every system has politics, but this is mild compared to many other systems. We could not ask for our child to be around better children, better behavior, and such caring teachers. We could not have made a better move and do not regret it for one minute!

As the parent of a child who graduated from EPHS and a student still remaining I have to say that there is a great deal of favortism and polictics involved in all the activities at EPHS. There are many children who have been chosen to participate in activities because of favortism on teachers part. I have to say there is just a few teachers in the school that I have respect for as professonals. I can hardly wait for my child to graduate so that I can be done at this school.

I am a 2004 graduate of East Paulding, and i am proud to say that i attended EPHS! THe teachers and students are very dedicated to their school, showing nothing but the utmost respect to each other and every one. Every one is great!

I graduated from East Paulding High School in 2002, and I have nothing but good things to say about this institution! I was in a horrible car accident on February 20, 2001 which left me with a traumatic brain injury. I literally went from being an honor student to needing special help in a split second! However the faculty and students at East Paulding were extremely helpful and accomodating to me. Not only did I graduate on time (and wih the 'Hope' scholarship), but today I stand fully recovered! Praise God! I thank God for the wonderul people at East Paulding High School!
