Sammy McClure Senior Middle School

As you enter the school, you will notice a poster stating "Sammy McClure Middle School is NO place for HATE" Yet, for the past year and a half my child has endured HATE. The principal and assistants manipulate your child into believing that the kids are only playing around. Even when we sat down w/ the asst. principal to watch of video of 5 kids lay their hands repeatedly on my child and push his head against the bus window while my child through out the entire video held his head for cover (which they were suspended for 3 whole days) we were still not taken seriously. When we called to discuss the "newest" matter I was told that it would have to wait a week to schedule a meeting due to classroom time. In the meantime, my child was one again bullied and as of 2 days ago I withdrew my son. Neither principal was willing to speak w/ me regarding the subject and took the front office staff 30 minutes to convince Dr. Hutnik to speak w/ me. My child has NEVER had a disciplinary action taken against him. Sad that the system overlooks the bullies.

LOVE this school! Switched my son here in 7th grade after a disasterous year at another school in the district. It's like night and day. Dr. Hutnick runs a great program, the staff and administration are professional, helpful and madde us feel welcome from the minute we stepped in the door. The teachers are encouraging and my son is actually enjoying school again! I will be sending all my children here!

I have been very happy with this school. Teacher and staff are wonderful and there are extracurricular activities for the kids. My son loves it here. I feel he is getting a quility education at this school.

I go to this school and they are a lot of fun things but they can be strict when they want to.Also,there is a lot of learning and clubs.There is athletics well. I love it.

My daughter transitioned from a private school to Sammy McCLure, and she loves middle school. The teachers are very involved.
