My daughter attends first grade here and so far I am extremely happy with the school. The staff and the school is extremely knowledgable and they make every effort possible to make the school a friendly place for both the students and parents. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone considering moving to the area.

Blackburn Elementary has been a terrific surprise! The teachers and staff are outgoing, friendly, and do whatever it takes to help students excel. I am proud that my children attend BES!

Blackburn makes no concessions for children with ADHD unless medicated. So for parents with ADHD children, please look into home schooling if you must be in this district. And for parents who are looking into the IDEA act or other options along this line. don't expect alot of coperation from this school or staff. My son was kept in class on 3 seperate occasions until he urinated on himself. with the staff knowing he has a weak bladder. he has been labled a problem child and was sent back into the class room with urine on him before I could get to the school with clean clothes. So PLEASE beware. I have to wonder why there are no other parent reviews for this school.
