Positives: School administration is very friendly. Price is reasonable but you pay for what you get! Negatives: Not academically challenging for children 6 & up Outdated! Don't offer foreign languages on a consistent basis. Only one computer for the children to use which is in itself very outdated! No cafeteria or gym!

Cambridge is a great school to grow young minds in South DeKalb. You do not have to settle for what the county has to offer for pre-K through elementary.

If u are an advocate for your child, Cambridge is not the school for u.We had been very pleased parents until this school year. When our child entered 1st grade, the nurturing environment, the warmth of the teacher, the professionalism of the leadership all declined fast.We began 1st grade where the 1st grade teacher immediately established a very rigid, punitive learning environment for the class, which was a drastic contrast from the previous grades. My son would display feelings fear & frustration. As most concerned parents would do, we addressed these concerns with the teacher first, then leadership, but didn't see much change. In our efforts to advocate for our child, we were retaliated against and asked to find another school for our child and given 4 days to do so in the middle of the year. We were stunned at the unprofessional actions of the school leadership after being loyal Cambridge parents, referring colleagues & friends to their school, etc. The most unfortunate outcome was for our child, who has been abruptly pulled out of his school. The school could not have any child's best interest. Otherwise, this situation would have been handled professionalism & integrity

My daughyter has been attending Cambridge since she was 21/2. She is currently in the three-year old class and I will get a chance to really see how learning process during this year's transition with a new teacher. I can truly say that I have been impressed thus far. My child came to Cambridge from an in-home day care and it took a while for her to adapt to her new environment, but I must say her two-year old teacher was a gift from GOD and she was truly a blessing to her academic and social development. Muy husband and I were amazed by the campassion and dedication of her teacher. I am anxious to see how her learning experience will be this school year.

I just wanted to share that I am thoroughly impressed with this school. The prior school my 3 yr old went to was not parent/child friendly. The staff was rude and you were almost intimidated with expressing your concerns. With Cambridge, the staff is friendly, the teachers are great, and my child loves it. He is already reading and writing. This school makes learning fun and the academic curriculum is challenging. I love this school and will continue to send our child until we move out of the area (and then I still might continue to take him).

I have been going to cambridge for 9 years now and let me say i just love it.3 Months ago i started to fail in math and reading but my teacher kept on encouraging me and eventually i got up from a 'c' in reading to a 'a' from a 'd' in math to a 'b' and now i am passing in all my classes. One thing i can say about all the teachers in that school is that they all want the best from you and they want you to give your all. They dont give up on you, there is work involved for youto do and you must get it done and yes all of this is comming from a current student. But basically the kids are friendly the teachers are friendly and the whole school is a great place!

During the school search process, I came across this school on this website. The office staff were all personable and welcoming. This is my daughter's first year at Cambridge, and I am pleased thus far. She is 4 years old, was evaluated, and eventually placed in K5. Just one week in, I see she has such an eagerness to learn, is excited about homework, and looks forward to going to class every day. Her teacher is a very seasoned Kindergarten teacher with exceptional credentials (this is her 26th Kindergarten class, and her 12th year at Cambridge). The principal is a hands-on administrator with a lot of experience as well. The curriculum is challenging, but not overwhelming - my daughter is four but reading on a first grade level.

My son has been a student at this school for 1 year now. I have seen a tremendous difference in his learning about a month after enrolling him into this school. Every day he is learning something different and shows more advancement than other kids his age. I would highly recommend this school if you re looking for your child to be above average when they leave this school.

My daughter has been enrolled at Cambridge since she was 2.5. She is four now and I am extremely pleased with her academic progress. She has been exposed to things that other children don't get until much later in their schooling. The teachers and administrators have taken the time to learn my child and they really care about her success emotionally and academically. They have an open door policy and welcome questions and input. The facility is older and I have noticed teacher turnover, but it seemed to benefit the school. At four my child can count to one hundred , count by 5's and 10's, add and subtract, knows time and money, can discuss the parts of an insect, knows the Planets and Continents, can read simple sentences, and more. Everyday I am amazed at how much she knows. I would recommend this school to anyone.

I currently have two children at Cambridge. A 3rd grader and a K4 student. I am quite pleased with the education that my children receive. The administration CARE deeply for these children. They take the time to get to know them and the way that they learn best. When I speak to colleagues about what my daugter is doing in her K4 class, they stare in amazement because their children are not being challenged with similiar material. If you want your children to be enriched and nourished academically and socially, consider this school in your search.
