Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

Heirway Christian Academy is the greatest school there is!. The feeling if fellowship is almost tangible, the Principal and every single teacher are dedicated to give our children the best education, combined with Christian principals. If you are the kind of parent that just want to dump your kid in school and not be involved then this is not the school for you, we expect parents such as myself to be fully involved and we have the best PTA there is. My child has been here since K5 and five years later I love this school as a second home for him, He will be here until he graduates. Love it, love it.

this school is not what it seems. Your children will not get what they need to go to college. We learned the hard way.

Heirway believes in prayer and unity, something you don't find in school nowadays. Our boys loved this school and are now graduated. To this day, they still consider Mr.Thomas a true mentor in their life! My husband and I are blessed to have had the privilege of seeing our sons grow in Christian character based on the truth that Heirway taught them! What a blessing this school is!!

Heirway is a terrific school. The teachers and the Headmaster combine to offer a well balanced education with a Christian leadership. They help strengthen the character of your child through Christian leadership. My son and daughter both graduated from there. My son went to Georgia Southern and my daughter is going to Truett McConnel.. Heirway is a terrific extension to your home and I would recommend this for all age children.

I am so grateful to this school and my son's teacher. He transferred to this school at the beginning of the school year from another school in douglas county that I was elated to get him out of. His 3rd grade teacher is WONDERFUL!!! He was on a 1st grade reading level when he started and with her dedication and instruction he is now on a 3rd grade level. We still have work to do with the 4th grade approaching but she has been terrific. I love the way she monitors the books the children check out from the library and insists that at least one of the two be on their reading level. Last year in the second grade at his former school he was being allowed to check out very simple books such as brown bear brown bear. This school or at least his teacher expects more from our children and in turn his confidence has grown. Thanks a bunch, Mrs. M ;-)

This school is amazing! The staff and faculty truly have a heart for education and more importantly have a heart to raise up godly young men and women. I have two children that have been in the Elementary program for three years now and this year our third will start K-4. We believe in the program at Heirway and would encourage anyone to enroll their kids there!

This school is not what it claims to be! The teachers focus more on molding each child into a cookie cutter image of what they think the perfect person is rather than providing a solid education. I witnessed several staff members belittling students on multiple occasions. Leaving this school was the best decision we ever made. I would certainly not recommend Heirway to anyone.

I love this school. My son has been at this school 4 years (elementary school) and has learned so much from the teachers and staff. He has excelled in acedemics, he has learned the importance of character, and has learned the bible. The teachers and staff are wonderful and the school is a second home for my son. I would recommend this school to anyone that wants their child in a fun and loving enviroment.

Heirway is the best Christian school in Douglas County! Everyone there is committed to the students well being, and the environment is so encouraging and uplifting! You feel God's presence from morning till night. I love the Teachers and administration. Classes are vibrant and fun, my kids love the music and art programs! Best bang for your hard earned dollar.

This school is more than a school to me and my 6 year old this school is more like home. The teachers and staff are great they're more like family. Mr. Thomas the principle cares about every child in his school. My child is learning so much and she's learning the bible at the same time. This is the place to educate your child!!

i love that this is a small school and children don't get lost in the shuffle like larger schools. Attention is paid to the details of a Christian education by the teachers and the administration. Both of my kids, 11 year old and 5 year old, are thriving and learning quicker than their friends that are going to other schools (public and private). Heirway feels like a family!

I am so pleased with the level of excellence paired with individual attention that is given to each and every student. My granddaughter attends here and I would do anything to keep her there. Her levels have continually risen far above the mean.

I love Heirway for many reasons, but one in particular is that it is not just a Christian Academy by name. Heirway Christian Academy practices and instills christian character and behavior to their students on a daily basis!

I have two sons who currently attend Heirway and I can't say enough great things about everyone with whom I have come in contact. The principle is very involved with the students. The teachers are providing a warm and caring atmosphere in which my children are learning at a very fast rate. The administrative and other staff are really nice and courteous. I have no doubt my boys are safe and in an environment where they will continue to excel academically and spiritually. I love that this is a Christian atmosphere where they're being nurtured in love but are still expected to be responsible and successful people.

My son has truly flourished in the nurturing environment at Heirway. I love the spiritual foundation they are building in students, but what really makes this school stand out from other area private schools is its dedication to academic excellence. They move at a competitive pace and grade work (even in very early grades) the old-fashioned way. If you have a gifted child and/or are trying to instill hard-working values in your child, you will truly appreciate this school. If you prefer the no-child-left-behind style which caters to the below average, then the Georgia public school system is the place for you.

The devotion and attention of the teachers. It is small enough for the teachers to teach and be concerned about the student's progress.

I have friends whose children attend the school and they have nothing but good things to say about the faculty, school curriculum and overall teacher/student relationship. I think this school deserves to win the contest and would handle the reward responsibly and effectively to benefit the needs of the students and teachers respectively.

I have been involved with Heirway for 10 years. My son graduated last year and my daughter is in the 10th grade. The great thing about Heirway is and has always been the people there. These relationships have molded my children into solid citizens with a strong faith. At Heirway, students are not just numbers or faces in a crowd but human beings with different gifts and dreams. Each child is cherished. I recommend Heirway without pause because of my wonderful 10 year experience there.

I have been with Heirway from the beginning, when Heirway was the youth group associated with Water of Life. I have recently began my 21st year. I have 2 children, one has graduated, the other is in 9th grade. I am so greatful that God has provided this academy. I love it. I recommend it to all who seek greater things for their children.

I thought Heirway was great until they got rid of their old principal for a 'newer model.' Younger isnt always better. This school is lacking diversity in its staff and school board. Teachers are stuck in the past. I did not feel like my child was supported.
