My son has been there since Kindergarten and now in 4th grade. The teachers are NICE, however; my son is lacking on ALL subjects, I am very disappointed in this school. seems the kids are not allowed to talk to one another EXCEPT recess?? Social skills people!! We are headed to the 5th grade and don't know our muliplication tables, money exchange and to my knowledge we haven't even studied the State Capitals !!! Like I said if you want your child to be loved only...this is the school for you, if you want your child to learn SOMETHING, look elsewhere!
I have 2 childrn at Bill Arp and I love the school. Teachers, front office, prinicpals, and staff have been so caring and helpful. They go above and beyond when it comes to the students in their school. My children have been so happy here and have loved all of their teachers. ' GREAT SCHOOL!!!!!!!
The staff in the office are rude and condensending. No sort of customer service or friendly greeting when you walk through the door. My daughter's 3rd grade teacher is lazy. For almost the entire month of May, she has had only 1 homework assignment! Communication with this teacher is lacking. Figuring out when assignments are due or materials needed is another issue. I am all for Teachers being evaluated based on the students' performance and in this teacher's case, she will fail miserably! The curriculm is not challenging, just a ho-hum, thrown together lesson plan. They need to step up their game. Just because many of the students are underpriviledged, doesn't mean they should get a 2nd class education.
A large school with a small school feel. Kids are the most important thing at Bill Arp.
We were new to the school last year and we very pleased with the entire school. Our children loved their teachers. We attended field day and every had a great time. It is a school for the entire family
This school is interested in more than test scores. They care about my children.
My son has been at Bill Arp now for 4 years and has thrived there. His Kindergarten teacher noticed his advanced aptitude and recommended him for Program Challenge. With the social skill issues he has, I've been in constant contact with all of his teachers and vice-principals and I have been so pleased with the level of professionalism and communication I have received from ALL of them. Most recently, I had an opportunity to work closely with Mr Pennington and my son on an issue and I have the utmost respect for his ability to lead this school in a positive way!
Great experiences always come when your child has a great teacher. I have two children that attend Bill Arp and both have great teachers this year. In years past my son had a teacher that was satisfactory. Overall I think it is a very good school, and thankfully this year both of my children have the chance to learn from awesome teachers.
Fabulous school, great teachers, great principals...my child came from a private school and this school is just as good!!
My daughter attend Bill Arp in their Special Needs Program for Autism. I have been so pleased with her progress that my husband and I purchased a new house in that school district so my younger daughter could also attend the school.
