My son and daughter attend CHES. They love it. I am a very involved parent who thinks that the principal and teachers are well trained and highly motivated to give each kid a wonderful learning experience.
We have 2 children in this school and we are very happy. There is a very involved PTA that supports the teachers. There are great extracurricular Activities including Drama Club, Chorus, RoadRunners, 5th grade Year Book staff, and even a news team which presents every Friday on the internal Web. My kids have been given great opportunities by a teaching staff that truly cares. The is a great school.
This school has a large parent involvement, but this school needs work in discipline. Parents you need to do it too- Talk to them!!! Spend time with your kids, school is not free daycare it is a learning environment!!!! The teachers are amazing and go above and beyond.
This school is average. the only problem I have is they concentrate on the CRCT more than teaching the kids a well rounded curriculum.
I have no idea how this school got as high a rating as it did.Zero communication, rude front staff & poor school organization.
Both my girls go to CHES. We love this school. They incourage parent involvement and are very open to comunication with the parents. We spacificly chose to move into this area for this school.
My experience was not a pleasant one. I have lived in the Chapel Hill school district for six years. Due to the redistricting, we were realigned to attend CHES. The teacher was a first year teacher, no kids, no patience and a real knick for twisting words. The administration just goes through the process, no real solution or any concern, just a fixed smile while you are in their presence. The principal does not even acknowledge you when visiting the school during lunch or any other short visits. I have talked to my neighbors to see if this experience was just with me and my child and they shared very similar concerns. I have moved my child to a private school.
I think CHE is great school. My daughter has going there for 3 years. The teacher are creative ways of teaching the kids. Many of teacher enjoy teaching
