I love Dorsett Shoals Elementary because it is like a family. The staff is amazing! My child has been here since kindergarten and I wouldn't want him to go anyplace else. It ROCKS!

Dorsett Shoals is consistently thinking outside the box to provide students with the best education. They really bring together the entire school through functions and class activities.

Our staff is amazing. They work hard to make a difference in the lives of the children at Dorsett Shoals Elementary. We work together with parents and students to make our school a family. :-) Dorsett Shoals rocks!!!

Great school with warm and caring teachers. I'm also impressed with the after school program. My children are doing much better (homework) in asp than they were in the daycare they used to go to.

Thank you Mrs. Brewer for making 2007-08 a wonderful year for my family! When we transferred back to Douglas who knew that we would hit the jackpot receiving you as our prize for Jacob! I sincerely appreciate all your hard work and dedication as a teacher, and the support you have given to me as a parent! Dorsett Shoals is very lucky to count you as a member of their staff!

I have had great experiences with all of the teachers and staff at this school. I have two children (3rd and K). My 3rd grader has attended for three years, and I am pleased with the progress they have both made at this school.

I have nothing but praise for the Dorsett Shoals Elementary School staff! My son, who is now in 4th grade, has attended DSES since 2nd grade. He was transferred (at our request) to DSES from another school, within the Douglas County School District. His academic performance has continually improved since his transferred to DSES. DSES' staff has diligently partnered with us initially to ensure that our child got back on track, academically. Since then, our partnership , consisting of communication and commitment, continues to ensure that our son receives an optimal education. The staff is holistically committed to each of its students. -Tamyko D. McCaskill Brown

I have 3 children that currently attend Dorsett Shoals. I have spent a lot of time at the school helping out and I can honestly say this is a great school. Every teacher that we have had has been wonderful. They are all willing to do whatever it takes to help the kids. The programs such as chorus and road runners has been wonderful. I can not think of anything negative about this school. At one point we had thought about moving but we decided to stay because the kids love this school.

My kids are currently in the 2nd and 4th grade. They both have attended this school for approximately 2 and 1/2 years. I brought them from a very poor school system and have been extremely happy with this school. I am so happy I am doing everything I can to keep them in this school.
