I am a long time resident of Douglas County High, and a grandparent, all things considered Alexander High is a good school, I am not saying there isnt room for improvement. More parental involvement in childrens lives and a few staff improvements would help. I hope that the Ga. Legislature will realize that cutting education is not the course to take.

Alexander is a wonderful high school. My child has had outstanding teachers and coaches. I know he will be prepared to start college this fall.

Alexander is the best High School in Douglas County. Teachers still care and work hard to help our students achieve in thier studies.

Great staff and great academic selection. If you attend this school you should abide by the rules because they are tough with discipline. The tough stance is more then likely why it remains the best high school in Douglas County.

Alexander overall is not a bad school, but im afraid to say that this school has some racial issues between the students.

I am a graduating senior this year and Alexander has really helped shaped me into who I am. I have had amazing teachers, who love teaching and love students. I have also had alot of opportunities either in classes or clubs. I am truly thankful i was able to go to Alexander.:)

Alexander has very few bright spots. You do have some teachers that are highly qualified and have actually mastered what they are teaching. However, there are many teachers who fill a semester with having students outline multiple chapters. There is more than a little racial tension at Alexander. Administration is attempting to create a more diverse staff, slowly. Mrs. Parks is a great addition. Mrs. Gibbons has also proved to be a wonderful addition as well. She has done more than the guidance counselors on staff. Kudos to them both!

Big emphasis on sports, especially baseball, wrestling and track. More football coaches than any other school in the county. Overcrowded classes and the teachers seem inexperienced.

My son is a senior & has attended Alexander all four years. We have been very pleased with the school academics & sports programs. I think Mr Brown has been a fine leader & will be missed next year. I have a younger son that will starting here next year & we can't wait. For those complaining about the dress code & the curriculum & after school tutoring programs & not meeting the AYP I must laugh. Can they not see that their kids are the problem & they more than likely transferred from another county school via voucher because they could'nt pass there either! Keep up the good work Alexander!
