As a former student, now in a college environment, I can honestly say I was unprepared for many aspects of college (most notably in the area of science). When I was a student there was only one AP class, and there seem to be no attempts to increase the number any time in the near future. The administration is overly concerned with test scores and apathetic to the students learning environment. Good luck working with the counselors. The teachers that don't double as football coaches are the only thing keeping this school afloat; they genuinely care and encourage.

I am a tenth grade student at ELHS and I think the academics are well, but the student or parent involvement is horrible, the only reason the parents come to this school is if the kid is in trouble. So I think the school should have more parent involvement.

It seems that bullying is quite an issue at this school. Discipline is lacking and students are often left fending for themselves. There is also a lax attitude about achievement and little demand for completing work and accomplishing academic excellence.
