I am so lucky to send my little one to Wilson Creek from Kindergarten. It will be our third year and I feel that this school not only excell in academics but also help our children find what suit best for them. This school has excellent teachers who dedicate their full energy for their students. Great principal, PTA, and parents are involved in multiple activities. School consist of different ethnic group, which my child takes advantage of learning different culture just attending her school. I love Wilson Creek!

My children love this school. The school has a very good balance of academics and other interests like music etc. The teachers keep the parents well informed of their child's performance. The new principal(who was the asst principal previously) is doing a fabulous job of keeping up the high quality. The PTA hosts various activities that all my children love to attend.

It is a great school and my child has made a great improvement in this school. I have read some of the comments other parents have made and those who have rated the school low either have too much or too little expectations, such parents need to opt for private schools or home schooling. I have never seen greater parental involvement in a school as Wilson Creek. Additionally, the teachers are good and make learning fun.

Even though this school ranks high on Georgia AYP, it is important to notice that in the pursuit of meeting these standards the school has focused its effort toward preparing children toward testing. Teachers spend great effort creating and inputting monitoring data grades. In this environment children become exposed too much stress at early age and loose the excitement of learning. Parent involvement is welcomed primarily for fund raising activities.

I love Wilson Creek Elementary because my kids love their teachers. They also love their friends, what they teach in school, and everything that comes with the school. My kids give Wilson Creek two thumbs up!

I have nothing but good things to say about Wilson Creek. The staff is happy to be there, the principal is excellent to work for, and the PTA goes above and beyond their call of duty. This school really sets the bar high. The principal also won a prestigious district award this year so the principal leadership rating on this site is quite puzzling to me. My son and daughter really enjoy being a Wilson Creek Wildcat!

Wilson Creek and its teachers and administration should have nothing to do with any parents' opinions regarding teaching. Fulton County is to blame for making teachers conform, resort to worksheets, or seem 'fearful' of the curriculum. The new county curriculum is wacko! My friend is a teacher there and she loves everyone she works with, especially her administration. Most of the big discipline problems will remain because those specific parents don't care! You only think you come from a perfect school. They are all facing the same problems and have the same successes in this area. I find the principal quite engaging. It is my understanding that he's the like the CEO...when you have a problem at work do you go straight to your CEO? I didn't think so! Follow the correct chanels and maybe you'll get results!

We have experienced lack of involvement by the principle, poor handling of conflicts, and chaotic implementation of the curriculum that can only be deciphered by the brighter children. There is way too much 'enrichment' and not enough basic skills training for our child.

My experience at Wilson Creek has been absolutely wonderful. My children have been in the school from the 1st day it opened its doors. The Principal is wonderful. He has a great positive attitude and he is very sweet to the children. The PTA is out of this world. They put in countless hours to make every program available to the parents and children a great success. Every teacher has their own style of teaching. Mostly all the teachers I have spoken to love their Principal, their students and working environment.

I cannot say enough about the fabulous PTA at Wilson Creek. They are dedicated and supportive of our children and their futures. The school would not be the same without their leadership! Keep up the great work!

My child use to attend WC. We pulled him out for several reasons - poor leadership; unruly and undisciplined children (some with behavior problems that were not addressed); the lack of accountability and/or excuses by the principal and teachers regarding the behavior problems; the principal's lack of involvement and interaction with the children and parents - he is not involved or engaged at all; high teacher turnover. There were no extracurricular activities for the children (i.e., sports) and no Recognition program (i.e.,Honor Roll) The school was a big disappointment for us considering it's in a sought out school district. Although it's a beautiful facility, it needs better leadership.

My child had not been challenged at all at the school, and very hard to communicate with school.

pretty good teachers but I am not an expert on cirriculum. Principal is just as the other reviews say. I tried to have a meeting with him once and had to fill out a form first! I was told he would contact me. He never did. I called 3 times and spoke to his secretary and she assured me that he would call me to set up a meeting time. I finally had my husband e - mail him directly. He received this reply. 'Please contact Mr. Hawsey our CST about your concern.' He obviously did not read the e - mail because our ' concern' was about Mr. Hawsey! It was the end of the school year so we just dropped it.

Let's face school should not be judged by the building or the extracurricular activities or even by the TAG program that only a few children get to attend. A school should be judged on the quality of the education. The teachers are good people and probably good teachers but either the state or the county or the principal has made the teachers so afraid of these new standards that the teachers just give ditto after ditto. There is very little higher level thinking like they say there is. My child had not been challenged at all since he has been at the school. I tried to talk to last years teacher but I got the feeling that her hands were tied. The school gets one star because I don't care as much about chorus and Spanish. Etc.I want my child encouraged to ask questions not told there is no time.

We like the school. We have had good teachers and my kids are happy. My children say that they hate school, but don't all children say that? Overall, we have been satisfied.

I am a very active parent. I volunteer almost every day so I get to see what is going on up close. The tone is a bit uptight but the bottom line is that the education is far better than other places in Georgia. My children are both working above grade level and are in TAG. The TAG classes are wonderful - less than 17 kids in a class ALL day long. What more can I ask for?

Clean building, good PTA, some teachers are good...but important things are not in place: kindness and flexibility, understanding learning style, excitement for learning, hands on projects, children working together - very few of these kinds of classrooms.

Teachers are available for parents- they will return emails and phone calls quickly. The principal is not a presence- he does not seem to have an interest in engaging or dealing with parents. The facilities are beautiful. Staff is warm and helpful.

The school is NOT GOOD...lots of silence in the classrooms, lots of worksheets and other busy work, kids should be seen but not heard, the discipline is ridculous... Not a warm loving nuturing place. there are some good teachers but what stands out is conformity. I have not had much interaction with the administration but the interaction I have had has been NOT GOOD. The principal has no idea who any of the children are and I believe probably puts lots of pressure on the teachers. Not good.

Honestly although I tell my friends that it's a great school, I don't think it's so great. It just doesn't feel that welcoming to me and my daughter feels the same way. There are lots and lots of worksheets and not a lot of the more fun learning. I don't really feel like the teacher knows my child that well either. Everyone I talk to seems to like this school. What is wrong with me?
