My child attended Austin Elementary school last year. Dunwoody Elementary is a school I would give a C - in comparison to Austin Elementary. Dunwoody is an okay school. The facilities are awesome. The teachers are mostly young and inexperienced, but have some fresh premise approaches to teaching. The principal does not listen to parents and he does speak without thinking sometimes. Ms. McCoy seems nice, but she is very no nonsense. So, the school could be great, if there were great leadership, I think it would show, but the great leadership simply has to come first.
The principal makes the place feel like a prison. He simply does not listen. I feel that because of this the teachers have given up. Be nice and more open minded Mr. Clark. You will be surprised at how that gets you better results.
