As a parent of a soon to be tenth grader, I have found that my son really enjoys the school, the teachers, other students and the sports activities. I would love to be more active, however, my son now lived with his dad and I live in SC. I think if the student is happy and comfortable that he or she will do that much better. I have no educational concerns for my child. Thank you for the great school enviornment and the wonderful teachers.

ECCHS is undoubtedly one of the top schools overall in the area, thanks in no small part to Principal Dr. Elliott Poss. Each year, graduates go from Elbert County and succeed at universities and colleges around the country. For the most part, especially on the Honors and College Prep levels, the teachers are great (only a little 'dead wood'). No school in the area has the tradition and history in athletics, JROTC, band, and other extracurricular activities that ECCHS has. If you are looking to move to Northeast Georgia, don't let statistics keep you from Elbert County schools. Trust me, as a recent graduate, I was well-prepared for college at the University of Georgia. Also, note that 18 students from the 2004 graduating class (only 190 in the class) were admitted into UGA's most competitive freshman class in school history. I'll always be proud to be an ECCHS graduate.

This school is fairly good overall but lacking in the field of foreign language.
