Fairmount Elementary School

My son has been attending fairmount for the past 5 years and I love him going to that school, they are all excellent there!

fairmount elementary has a wonderful staff of committed caring teachers ,the sociology of this school is top rate. However they do not have the highest acedemic expectations from thier students , as long as they pass the crt requirements then that seems to be the limit. I was displeased with the fact that my first grader wanted an advance class -but there was no gifted classes for 1st or 2nd grade kids . because of boredom he has fallen behind. My 3rd grader who has a 504 plan the modifications are so low that he is not expected to do very much and is falling through the cracks . not happy with the acedemics at all.

I have never seen a more caring group of teachers...(for the most part). Dedicated to giving the best to these students. I have seen nothing but teachers going the extra mile for each and everyone of the students. Great atmosphere to raise a child in.

some good teachers but for the most part kids really don't learn much. too many kids . kids are of a very rough and tumble group. better off home schooling.

I am a past student of this school, and plan on putting my daughter in this school when she starts school. This school has great teachers and adminstration that care about their students, and they care about what the child does and doesn't learn. I am proud to say that Fairmount led me to try harder in everything that I do, and I am going to college to become a teacher, and I hope to teach at this school myself. Pamela Marie Pinson-Smith
