I love this school i have laerned so much.. I loved 8c best team in the world.. I am going to fchs and proud of it..
I've had a very good experience with Fayette Middle School. My son is moving up to High School and I have a daugter coming up to Fayette Middle. The teachers have a passion for what they do and they are committed to our kids. I've been well informed of my son's progress, and even when he makes bad choices, the teachers are there to help us get him back on track. I really appreciate this school.
I had one child who went to this school and one child slated to go next year. I am seriously considering moving so we will be in another school district. There are some wonderful teachers, but I think the administrators are awful. Once I emailed the principal and asked that she attend a meeting that had been set up. I felt the assistant principal had been abrupt and rude in an earlier meeting. She emailed back that she would be glad to attend and looked forward to meeting me. This after I had been answering the phone in her front office as a volunteer for about 5 months, she had no idea who I was. She did not show up at the meeting. If you are moving to Fayetteville for the schools I would urge you to consider a residence in Whitewater or Bennett's Mill area instead.
We have been having a great time in Fayette Middle School, they have a great system that keeps the people on schedule
I was very pleased with Fayette Middle School, my child attended for 2 years and did very well and had some incredible teachers that helped him thrive. This school gets a bad rap way too often without just cause, many of the other parents I spoke with agree that the school is great!
I am disappointed with this school. I recently moved to Georgia and was told that Fayette had one of the best school systems. I found that not to be true with this school. I have to fight for my child to be placed in his right math level. (I found out I am not the only parent with this problem at this school) I found the counselors not to be helpful in this. If we are trying to get the students ready for college then why are they not taking better electives. I have never known someone to learn foreign language properly during one 9-week period. There are only a few teachers that I have found to be helpful. I am a parent that is heavily involved with my child's school. I hope that the high school is much better.
Fayette Middle is an excellent school from my standpoint. My daughter is currently a 9th grader at Fayette County High School and is doing very well. We have received a number of commendations from her present teachers about how well prepared for high school she is. FMS gets a bad rap because of the large percentage of minorities (Blacks) and that is very sad that here we are embarking upon 2008 and people are still that small minded. They have one of the finest band programs, the best English teacher (Dr. Franklin), and the administration runs a tight ship. Be involved as parents and support the FMS teachers and your experience will be great!! PTO does an excellent job using funds for TOP NOTCH additional learning and exposure programs - FMS may not have the HIGHEST test scores, the best facility in the county, but there are great teachers and administrators
Hi, I am a student of Fayette Middle School. I like this school and this is my first year over here. The school is amazing and has a lot of learning opportunities. The lunch is not bad but the learning opportunities are a lot. I love Fayette Middle School and I will miss it next year because I am going to Fayette High.
I am a former student of Fayette Middle. When I went there, I didn't realize what an amazing school it was. My family just moved to the country, and I'm missing Fayette terribly. Up until now I never noticed how fantastic it was. Yes, the lunch is bad, but the teachers are great and most of the kids are friendly.
Fayette Middle has had it's challenges over the past two years. There has been a new Principal and families have been moving in from other counties in hopes of providing a better learning environment for their children. In talking to the Principal, I've learned that she is committed to giving our children the best education possible. I'm planning to help her as a parent. I'm optimistic that FMS is going to continue being a great school.
