Charlton County High School

CCHS is a wonderful school. I attended until the middle of my freshman year. I agree that the school was all about the football team but that's what brought our school spirit. That is one thing I can honestly say I miss. There was nothing like a Friday night football game sitting in the stands with the band. However I do not think they handle the discipline very well. They need to look at it from another point of view and think more about why they're getting into your business.

I currenlty atten cchs. Im a snior now. From my point of view the school dosent offer much, but thats caues its a vicim of location. Some of my classmates, in my openion should be back in the 4th grade, otheres are ready for collage. Me im inbetween, im not rweally one to care much for extraciriculer activities. But i do think the football team recievs more than nessacery ploblicity. Altho now with the new principel things are begining to look beeter for evryone. Just a few spending things id like to correct, mostly with the student counsoul. I think theres somethings there not telling us

Charlton County High School is a great center for learning and education. The adminastration is always there for you and the school offers a unique way of learning. I gratuated in the class of 2008 and I enjoyed every hour of every day I got to call myself a student of that school

Great school yeah right, I graduated in 2006 and CCHS was nothing more than a joke the good teacher are so few and far between. They emphasize too much on the football team and no other extracurricular activities recieved needed funding. This school was not as good as it could have been. That is just my opinion take it, leave it, or make your own.

I graduated from CCHS in 2004, and I have to admit, there are times when I turn a nostalgic look back at my 'high school days.' I feel the education I recieved at Charlton County High prepared me for a college setting by providing me with smaller classes and (for the most part) excellent teachers. Although, like most small schools in small towns, I didn't get a chance to meet many people from very many different cultures, nor was there much many for extracurricular activities outside of football and band, I feel that CCHS did the best with what it had to work with: an overall dilligent faculty and staff. Although I'm no longer there, I still benefit from all of the knowledge I acquired while there.

I graduated from CCHS in 2004. I'm currently a student at Armstrong Atlantic State University, which is considered one the top 5 hardest 'small' colleges in the state of Georgia. Unlike some of my college friends, I was well prepared for college classes because of the quality of the academics taught at CCHS. Granted it is a small school in a small town so their football team is a big part of the community, however, that's what makes it better- small towns mean people know and care about each other more. Most of my high school teachers I knew already from around town and they really helped with the learning processes. They didn't discriminate, everyone was treated equally. I know that when some of this current students at CCHS who have posted on here look back after they have graduated and moved on will feel the same way I do.

I'm very unhappy with the way that the children are disiplined at this school. I think some people are treated unfair. If I had a choice none of my children would attend there.

CCHS was my favorite school when i attended, the teachers helped me when i needed help, and everyone knows everyone else there. The principal was very understanding with the troublsome kids and the good kids, he didn't judge someone for the clothes they wore or the friends they hung out with. GO CCHS.

Charlton County High School was and still is a very great school. I hated every minute of everyday going to CCHS. But now that I have graduated I realized that everything at CCHS happened for a reason. The teachers were wonderful, the education quality was great, and of course, the football team was and still is fantastic. I can now say that I love Charlton County High School. The quality of education that I got while attending has led me to know and believe that I can do anything if I just slow down and think like a country girl with a good, quality country education.

I believe the school here brand you by name and position. If you add up to be a ball player, especially a football player you are in, if you belong in the band you are pretty ok, if you are friends with the teachers , aka teachers pet then you are set. Education is way below norm, there are no hopes of magnet schools and if it wasn't for football events this town would fall under duh town}. The school pays way to much attention to the team and not enough to the others. Way to go charlton county.

I taught at this school for two years. I have very fond memories of the students and teachers. I have had the chance to compare Charlton County with other schools I have since taught at. Charlton County High School has wonderful community support in all areas. I have never seen a community since that loves and supports the sports programs as much. Teachers were also supported by the community and the district administrators. I have since had to worry about science supplies and not having enough paper because of budget restrictions. I never had to worry about that while teaching at Charlton County High School. They were great! -Wanda Sanger Lane

I graduated from CCHS in 03 and am at college now and the majority of the stuff I have encountered at College I was prepared for because of CCHS. The majority of the teachers are concerened about their students. THe class are a good size for learning as well as one on one activites. The extra curricular activites programs are just simply awsome. THe only thing I did not care for was the long bus ride from St.George everyday and some of the school lunches. CCHS is a wonderful school with wonderful teachers. I am proud to say I went to CCHS.

First oF all, I'm a student currently enrolled in this school and it is a joke. Off hand i can name five teachers that are 'following the rules' and i think it should change. Every day at this school makes me dumber and dumber and it is not going to change. The fact of getting up at 6 am and catching the bus at 7 does not make me happy, plus when we get there there is a 90% chance of being locked out untill a teacher lets you in... and one teacher doesn't let you in!!! The best pare of the school is the fact that it is outside and you are not inside all day. all in all it is a below average school and should be looked at other than the football team. It needs change now. That is my opinion wether you like it or not.

This school needs more teachers. It has too many teachers teaching subjects that have nothing to do with what they mastered in at college. I think if we had more teachers it would be easier on the students and the teachers, because the teacher can focus on their main subject, so that the students can learn more from all their teachers.
