This school need more programs to help student learn better. There are teachers that can't teach because of too many distraction.
The school is down right horrible. And people posting here are too modest. Too many gangs. Too many fights. I'm a former student and must say that the school is a terrible place. Do yourself a favor and home school
My daughter is an honor student and complained that the teachers just hand you the work and expect you to figure it out! They don't teach, they are paid to supervise.
i think the school is finally going in the right direction with the new principal and the two aps
I am currently a sophmore at FPHS and the learning experience is not as I planed it to be. The new principal is not as strict as he makes himself sound. Also, the teacher seem like they are just there for the money and their teacher methods need improvement.
I am currently a sophmore at FPHS and so far the learning experience is okay. The teachers are nice but the students are a different story. There's alot of drama and fights going on. The activities aren't so great like sports or anything but my friends there are the best and the school is very diversed even though most students just hang with their ethicy
This school really needs help there is too much drama and not enough Teaching. It is hard to learn in this school.
My son attends this school and since he has been there he has issue with teachers. I have called serveral times and have not gotten a call back from the school. I think that if someone would learn how to call parents (instead of a recording) then that might be a help. All students should be treated the same. My son is a very outgoing child but lately he come home upset and depress about how teachers treat him.
I recently graduated from Forest Park High School and I consider my learning experience to have been very exemplary. the teachers are wonderful and caring who like to be active in the students who want to learn lives. they are wonderful and pay attention to students needs. The athletics are not so great but a school is a place for learning and sports while important should not be considered as a means to judge the school.while at the school, i participated in the various sports and it taught me to work harder and good sportmanship. Athletics shouldnt be only about winning but building character. I am proud of the education i recieved there.
I think it's a great school. I attended this school back in 1999 and 2000. I never had a bad attitude while going to Forest Park High and I still dont. I dont believe attitude is the fault of teachers or the school. Attitude starts at home or with the people your children associate with. While I attended Forest Park High my teachers were always involved. If I needed help they would help me. They always had great attitudes. It's all up to the students rather or not the school is a great place to be. So to the parent who's kid had a bad attitude, maybe you should get more involved in your child's life and find out who he associates with instead of blaming the school. Great School!
