This is an excellent school! We moved our child from a snobby private school, and our child has learned more in one year at Centralhatchee than 4 expensive years at the other!! Principal Mrs. Thomas is totally hands on with every child and class. Excellent teachers and a wonderful community!!
Low marks to the school administration and Board, as they are more concerned with protecting each others positions, than dealing with parent concerns. This would be a GREAT school with a new school administration.
Mrs. Thomas and her staff at Centralhatchee Elementry are top notch! My son just graduated from K at Centralhatchee and reads better than I did in third grade! I am very impressed in their sincere concern for their students and parents. Awesome job guys!!
I think the school is a great place.I know our kids are from Tenn and they do things diffrent ,but my kids are learning more than they ever have learned from any school.
Centralhatchee has won the distinguished National Blue Ribbon of Excellence award!! What else can I say? Only 130 or so schools in the NATION won this award-the teachers, staff and principal are outstanding. No one in this school shirks their responsibilities regarding the students-its like all the teachers are involved with the kids even when they are not in their classes anymore. I am lucky to have a child in this school.
Overall, this is a good school due to the experienced teachers and a good student-to-teacher ratio. Low marks to the school administration and Board, as they are more concerned with protecting each others positions, than dealing with parent concerns.
Both my daughters attend Centralhatchee Elementary. The teachers are great and really care about the children. The principal is very outgoing and has made it a point to know every child. She is very encouraging, and plans many activites that the children enjoy. The small class size ensures that each child get individual attention, and additional help if needed. My children love Centralhatchee and I couldn't agree more! Kristen
Great teachers! Very small 'country' school which provides an outstanding learning opportunity. Very small class sizes and plenty of one on one time with each child.
It does not appear that students are treated fairly here. The same subs get called in, which happen to be near friends or relatives of administrators. My child has been harassed and bullied at the school and nothing has been done. I am very dissapointed in Centralhatchee Elem.
I think that overall we are a great school. I know that out principal always has our kids in his best interest. My daughter attends Centralhatchee and I am very pleased that she is there.
