This school is by far the most child friendly place I have ever seen. The teachers care about their students. Academics is a priority.

I certainly hope everyone will use their own judgement, the August review is way off base. The author must have a an axe to grind for some unfortunate reason. Wauka Mountain is such a nice family school. I am so proud that my children have such a fufilling school to attend. We are certainly blessed with our staff. This school has been the best kept secret in Hall county and it is only getting better.

I think Wauka Mtn. is an excellent school! Both of my children attend there as well as I did. I have seen nothing short of great progress with my children.

I have two great grandsons that attend Wauka Mountain and I think it is a wonderful school. Both of these children are learning the great values that we want our schools to teach. Thank you Wauka Mountain staff. Keep up the great work. Joyce Mashburn

This is our second year at Wauka Mountain Elementary. This is also principal's Joe Dinnan's second year and I am quite impressed with the direction she is taking the school. While, there is always room for improvement, this school has heart. It has a sweet feeling that flows from the hallways, that can only come from the legacy of families that have grown up in this school. I feel blessed to have chosen this area to live in.

This school was a huge disappointment to us. The teachers are unmotivated and lack creativity. The parents and students are unfriendly and do not make any effort to include or get to know anyone outside their little group. The lack of parent involvement is very disappointing, and all the work is done by the same select group of parents. The students are far too worldy for their years, and the subject matter of their conversation and their bad language is shocking in kids their age. The academics are very poor. My children were very bored with the curriculum and unchallenged. The city elementary schools in Gainesville offer a far superior education and are much stricter with discipline. Safety is a huge concern. I am so relieved my children no longer attend Wauka Mtn. and are in a far better school system
