I am the parent of a special needs student and I am very pleased with the teachers that my son has at the ninth grade academy. Mrs. Davidson has taken him under her wing and is working much harder then he is to pass the ninth grade. She has helped him out with project after school, in class and has even come to talk to me in person on her own time with concerns for him and his future. Although I am not sure he will ride out his time in high school I wanted to give thanks to the special teacher at NGA for not giving up on him and caring for my son as much as I care for him.

My son had a really difficult time in Middle School when he had to leave the security and surroundings of Dames Ferry. He has had a wonderful experience this year, he has enjoyed going to school again. The teachers are caring and are very good about keeping the parents informed of potential grade problems. They are willing to go above and beyond by making sure the students have the attention they need. They are willing to stay after school and give extra assignments so they can earn extra credit. Mr. Burston has done an excellent job and the teachers that have been chosen are exceptional. I would highly recommend a learning center like this for all students who are entering high school.Ninth grade students sometimes seem to get lost in the shuffle. Keep up the good work.

Awesome! They Know the definition of communication. Offer afterschool tutoring and test prep sessions on weekends for working parents. The school is student center and not what is best for the adults. The leadership make you feel at home and not that you are a problem if you have a concern. Concerns are taken seriously and with fairness to all parties. Very good about what can we do to help the child succeed. Offers Co-teaching and honors ceremony offers awards to all students without discrimination of ability level. Your child will succeed here.
