My son has attended CRES for two years now. I have always found the teachers willing to go out of their way to help my child (and others) to learn and grow. The principal has always been available, easy to approach, loved by the kids, and strict when necessary. For parents who could care less about education but want to scream when their kid gets punished or does poorly - Cuba needs you! This is a great school!

This is my child's third year at CRES, and every year has been great. They offer a well rounded program in all areas. My child has been blessed to have great teachers who are flexible enough to work with him but structured enough to create a great learning environment. This school has a very diverse population making it a real world experience where you learn about differences in cultures and abilities and how to make it all work. I can't say enough about Mrs. Wood and Mr. Griffis - I find them both very flexible and fair - willing to find a great balance between what my child needs and what can be done in the school environment. This school has made a great positive difference in my child's life.

I would like to see more in the art dept but overall I'm very glad my child is at Cowan Road. Mrs. Roth is a strict teacher that demands excellence from her students and motivates them to reach such lofty goals. Very hard to find such an amazing instructor! The principle, Mrs. Woods, a dymanic lady that has the respect and love of her students. The teachers are awesome. However, the principal is way too rigid and unwilling to work with parents. If you are a parent who likes to be involved in your child's education, this is not the school for you.

I have had 2 children that have gone through 1st through 5th grade at Cowan Road Elementary. I have found the teachers and staff to be the most dedicated and enthusiastic group I've seen. They work tirelessly and keep a very organized school. They set high standards for the students and get great results from them!!! The only negative thing I could say is that they can be almost too organized and rigid. Sometimes it's hard to get them to be flexible. However, my children have thrived there! Kudos to CRES!
