I loved Dutchtown High School. My son attended and he is now in the Air Force and doing well and both my neice and daughter attended and they graduated in May and are both headed to great Universities. Ms. Noble does a great job with adding diversity to the school and I feel that this community should be grateful for having such a great administrator and caring teachers in place. Kudos to the teachers and to the staff.

As a freshman, Dutchtown has a great education system. I think what needs to be looked at more is the administration and the math department. I am currently in Adv. math 1 and i have never seen such ridiculous teaching before. This new math thign they have going on is really absurd and I,personally, hope it goes back to subjects such as Algebra, trigonometry etc.We are learning unessacary information. Please study how other countries do their education and see how they are excelling. But as a school, it could be something i look forward to everyday. It is very boring as a whole. I'm in the band program but all I can tell you is to tutor yourself in math. The english department is good, however.

DHS Swept the Henry County Science Fair This Year!! ALL of the students sent to International and most of the ones who went to State came from DHS. It was such a win that they asked the science teachers to stand up and take a bow from DHS. (and the football team is not bad as well!)

Sending my children to Dutchtown High School is the worst mistake I have ever made. This school really needs to get rid of ineffective teachers. I placed one star by parent involvement, because I do not believe the school wants parents to know the level of incompetence that is going on there. If parents start sharing information, the administrators and teachers would be held accountable. Bring in new, innovative, and competent teachers. This is a great community of parents, but this school has been going in the wrong direction the last few years. We also need to hold our administrators accountable for where they have been lacking in leadership and as role models. I cannot help but note that there is one administrator there who is angry all the time. Her interpersonal skills are horrible! She hollers at the children, she is even loud with parents. When I hear her I think, "My God, no one should be that angry so early in the morning." I feel as if some of those poor children are paying for whatever is going wrong or went wrong in her life. Parents, wake up! Pray for a massive change in accountability for Dutchtown, and most of all, pray for our children.

Yet another terrible GA school, check the scorecard on their website. SAT, CRCT and graduation rates are pitiful. If you want your kids to have a decent education in Georgia you better pay for private school.

DHS is an excellent school. The facilities are great. The faculty is great and cares a lot about the students. There is a lot of parent involvement. Our son has been at DHS for six months now and is doing great. The AFJROTC is his favorite but he is also in band and soccer. The soccer program is above average and the coaches are willing to work with players of all skill levels. Overall the school is very nice and our son is really enjoying it. Highly recomended!

Dutchtown High School is terrible... The kids are brow beaten every day and targeted by administration. They are talked to as if they are in a prison system instead of a school. Administration is suppose to be there to lift kids up to encourage them and to help them to succede in life. Sure there should be dicipline ... but there is a line that should be drawn. shutting the door in kids faces and giving them detention for being late... there is zero tolerance for this at dhs. it is rude and uncalled for. No communication with parents. take my word for it... it is awful. last year a math teacher was fired and the kids were lost in that class aparently he was just giving them grades for completion. what a joke.

I will say that the school has its problems. The reputation of the school often seems to come before the students for some people. I can also say that it does have dedicated teachers who for the most part really care about the well being of their students our as I like to say my kids. As a teacher I know that I am learning each day just as my students are and that each day I strive to be a little better than I was the previous day. I hope that if my students learn nothing else form me that they will have realized that the world is what you make it and if you give 100% each day you will never have anything to feel sorry about because you that you have done your best. I will continue to live by these words and watch over my kids.

My child has only been in this school 2 1/2 weeks and has been targeted by the admin and in particular a teacher. I'm not saying he is an angel but he not a trouble maker or even disrespectful. It is really sad that these kids almost have no rights in this school. I also don't like the fact that when there is an issue or problem to school does not contact the parent. This was adv to me by the assit. prin. I am just really disappointed in this school all together. It maybe a good school but the staff isn't
